"Never spend your money before you have it." – Thomas Jefferson

This is my kick-off post in the Saturday Savers Club, which is in its 30th week of this year.

A few days ago, with my friend @tengolotodo, we were talking about the convenience of joining this group to keep track of our financial goals in the Hive and have an excuse to support each other to not sidetracked from our goals.

And what is this Savers Club all about? As I'm just starting, if you feel attracted and want to know more, I recommend you to read Saturday Savers Club with @susie-saver | 2022 Launch and FAQs | Everyone Welcome | EDS for Comments.

Why Save?

I've always been a person who values saving. I am not stingy at all, but I believe that being foresighted and always having a cushion can save us from many predicaments. Life has shown me that this is the right way to go, not only because of personal events but also because I had to live in a country whose economy went into a hyperinflationary spiral in which many of the people around me who had nothing to fall back on found themselves in serious trouble. Equally, the pandemic has tested us in more than one way. And having some savings has been a relief in that sense.

So making my Hive-HP account a cushion that will give me some assets for the future is my main goal. Recently at the beginning of the month was my first anniversary in the Hive, and on the occasion of that, I made a post where I set my goals for the end of the year. These goals will be my main objectives for the rest of the year in the Savers Club.

Main Goals

And those goals include HP(HIVE) and LP(LEO) and are:

At year-end Main Goals HP - 4500 HP / LP - 2000 LP

Current AmountYear-end goalTo goWeekly av. needed
HP229945002201100
LP6562000134461

To reach the end-of-year goals, I need to grow my account by 100 HP per week. And the challenge here is to do it organically since I want to use my liquid rewards for other things. Although until a couple of months ago, everything was going to HP, now I have other plans that I will mention later.

As for LEO, I intend to participate in all the LPUDs that are left in the year, but I have to generate a little more to reach my goals.

Secondary Goals

HBD I have a short-term goal. By the first week of September, I want to have collected at least 350HBD, which I will use to cover some expenses for a small family trip. I will give more details when the time comes.

EDSMM When my partner in crime @tengolotodo made his first post for the Saver Club and mentioned EDSMM, I remembered that some time ago, I had read a post about it from @shanibeer in the Silver Bloggers community. The truth is that at that time, although it caught my attention, I couldn't invest in the 10 Hives that the first miners cost. But this time, I didn't miss the chance. I bought 10 of the new miners. And although I don't have a goal for the end of the year regarding this, at least for the next five weeks, I intend to buy 2 new miners every week.

Other tokens I have a pending task and have already for some time. I have to determine whether I want to maintain and set goals with some other 2-layer token in the Hive blockchain. More on this in the following posts.

RISING STARS

And last but not least is my favorite blockchain game. For now, my goal is to make my account grow in the number of fans. And I don't rule out buying the millionaire card in the next few weeks, but I will do it only if it won't affect the progress of my main goals.

My account is currently LVL 59 Permanent fans 4295, and my ego is at 0%.

Disclaimer: The above is my year-end savings goals, and they are no financial advice.

That's all for now, thanks for reading!
