Matic (Polygon) congestion woes continue as swap and signing transactions are stalled. In order to push their tx's through, people are paying MORE gas fees on Matic!

Here's a look back 1 year ago:

"As things stand, the main Ethereum blockchain on which it's based has been weighed down by the huge number of projects that it hosts. The situation has led to a clogged system that is slow and expensive to use due to high gas fees.

For perspective, the Polygon chain can reach speeds of up to 10,000 transactions per second (TPS). This is blazingly fast when compared to Ethereum's 30 TPS." -MakeUseOf Dec 11, 2021 - www.makeuseof.com/what-is-polygon-matic

-- Despite claims of being a solution to scalability issues with ETH, Matic has been proven as a very poor performer with the load of just one game added to the usual traffic on the network. As of today, Aavegotchi carries the transactions of 2,100+ players concurrently on Matic -- and that was all it took to take it down.

Supposedly, Matic is capable of 10,000 transactions per second .... "blazingly" fast and solving the gas fees problem of ETH, eh? Solana was also heralded as a solution to high gas fees ... but it is a catastrophe in terms of performance.

Needless to say, every so-called scalability solver for gas fees and tx volumes need to walk big, then talk big.

Frankly, I believed the hype too.

This brings much skepticism to my love of ZkSync....
