For those who are accustomed to using cryptocurrencies for the purpose of transferring their crypto to a destination address, they are already accustomed to looking for low rates and the shortest possible time for this transaction to be carried out and even in some cases it can be instantly, or that is, we have several alternatives.

Unlike TED and DOC, we have only these two forms and are very limited with a high cost when dealing with one bank to another and time is undoubtedly the biggest villain for anyone looking for something as soon as possible.

The days of "Electronic Transfer Available" (TED) and "Credit Order Document" (DOC) are numbered, this is a fact and recently the BC announced news for the use of its platform. We already know that the system will be available 24/7, 365 days a year without interruptions. All so that the operation took a maximum of 10 seconds.

Contrary to what was being considered that the transactions would be free, the PIX will have a cost for the operations, being R $ 0.01 (US $ 0.0019) for each 10 transactions.

I believe that this novelty will be well accepted by Brazilians as the cost is extremely low compared to the R $ 10.00 (US $ 1.90) of TED from one bank to another. For the new platform it doesn't matter which bank is sending your money.

With this new payment method, it will be less and less likely that people will be able to leave home with physical money. For example, I usually use the money only as a last resort. I try to make my payments by debit card. In addition to security it makes me faster in my purchase. Paper money will in time be less used by people.

According to Roberto Campos Neto, BC president said:

"(PIX and Open Banking) will also be a great help in the way of disintermediating this need for people to have physical money"

DOC, for example, is the most expensive payment method to reach the destination account, and on weekends it doesn't even work. With Pix it will finally put TED and DOC as obsolete and nobody will want to use these two "dinosaurs" anymore.

Segundo o Roberto Campos Neto, presidente do BC disse:
