A Crypto Journey: Hive - Elrond - NFT’s
Writing about crypto is not my strongest suit being it doesn’t flow as naturally as other topics I write about.
I think the main reason for that is there is always so much more to learn. Even after being in the crypto world for five years I am still not as knowledgeable as I’d like to be. There are so many different aspects involving cryptocurrency and sometimes it’s hard for me to share information in a way that others can understand.
However, I still love sharing about my journey and some of the things I’ve learned and found along the way that could be beneficial to others.
Let’s start with HIVE…the best blockchain around! 😃
About a year before joining Hive my husband started slowly getting into crypto. He was just dabbling in a little here and there and learning more about what it was.
It was over my head and comprehension level so my attitude about it was

It sounded so complicated at the time that I didn’t even want to use any brain cells thinking about it. 😄
Fast forward after joining Hive this crypto girl is now HOOKED!
It’s because of Hive that I even cared to learn about it. I knew that if I wanted to blog here I had to have some type of knowledge about cryptocurrency and I am so glad I made the efforts I did to be where I am.
It’s also because of Hive that I can use some of my earnings to invest in other projects that also helps generate monies for my family.
Of course it’s evident that I’ve been here even through the bear market because I loved the social, learning and community aspect about Hive and most of all the opportunity to build relationships with people from all around the world. This is such a sweet time to be a part of this platform to see milestones reached and to be able to benefit from it all is quite Amazing! I’m so glad to have been a part of some of the things which have been built up here.
I have NEVER given so much of my time and attention to any other social media place and I especially have never stuck with anything social media for this long. I guess it’s a first time for everything and I’m glad it ended up being here with Hive.
Now let’s talk about
I first posted and mentioned about Elrond and us staking eGLD (the native currency of the Elrond economy) back in January of this year. At that time the price of 1 eGLD was $32.69.
Just a month later in February I posted about the mobile wallet and payments app (*Maiar) and at that time the price had already risen to $87.85!
Right now as I’m writing this post the current price of 1 eGLD 10 months later is *$369.40.
We decided to stake and stick with this token because of what they were building around it. The Elrond Network is straight up building a crypto empire and all of the opportunities, resources and projects they are creating (by collaborating with others) is evident they mean business. My family believes this project will be huge and the early adopters of it will benefit largely from it.
It seems like every week we are hearing about a new release of something and it’s hard to keep up. That’s a good problem to have when the company behind a token you are hodling is constantly doing big things and building up it’s province by creating new ways for you to earn and gain more.
This brings me to the NFT part…
Elrond now offers NFT collections that you can purchase through Trust Market by connecting your Maiar wallet.
We decided to mint some Stramosi (selling for 1.0 eGLD) and eGirl (selling for .40 eGLD) NFT’s while we had the chance.
There are only 10,000 of each that will ever be minted and once they are all sold out the only way to obtain them is from secondary purchases through the owners. Currently at the time of writing this post 4,597 Stramosi and 1,851 eGirls have been minted.

There will be a drop of 900 free tradable NFTs for the first 6000 holders. For each 1000 there will be 150 randomly distributed unique ElrondGirls' pets called Nano Bots, that some of you might have already seen! Stramosi -
Being a Stramosi owner means you will have access to awesome perks offered by the Romania NGO, related to all of its future developments on Elrond. It also means you will be one of the early adopters and among the first owners of Elrond NFTs. On top of that, Stramosi will be your membership pass to the Romania DAO. Included in this is governance, whitelisting and exclusive drops.
We currently have two eGirls and two Stramosi in our family wallet. My husband and I each have a Stramosi in our personal wallets and I also have an eGirl. I was so excited about getting her and recently changed my Twitter profile…
Honestly I’m not much of a Twitter user and still need to learn about how it all works. I only joined in order to share my Hive posts on there. I also use it as another crypto informative to keep up with the latest on the projects I’m involved with and interested in.
I changed my Maiar wallet avatar to my Stramosi NFT…
The crazy thing is the Stramosi NFT’s have already been selling for 20 and 25 eGLD and it’s only just beginning! No telling how much these will sell for after they have all been minted. 😳🤯
There are other Elrond NFT’s currently being minted but these are just the ones we were more interested in.
This has been such a fun learning journey for my family and I. It’s an amazing feeling being an early adopter and being able to take part in the early developments of projects such as these.
I’m excited to see where both Hive and Elrond will be within the next year. I am also looking forward to building up my NFT collections. Not just from the Elrond Network but I am starting to search other projects for them as well.
If you would have told me 5 years ago that I’d be a crypto enthusiast I would have laughed. Now I can’t imagine not being in this realm!
