Time for a little LUV housekeeping.
Emissions
I recently wrote of emissions. With the LUVbot as the main mode of emissions, the quantity of LUV was drawing down. More LUV needed to be minted else the bot would run out. The question, then, was how much to mint? I'm a fan of lower supply, rather than higher. So, this morning 2,000 LUV were issued to the @LUVshares account.
The circulating supply increased to 12,000. This should be enough to keep the LUVbot happy for a while. LUV is emitted due to the community's effort...using the LUVbot. More LUV will be minted/issued as needed to keep things running.
LUV Appreciation Drop (LAD)
The first LUV Appreciation Drop (LAD) just went out. Some of you may have noticed two amounts, actually. The first was likely a very small and long decimal amount of LUV. That was my goof-up LAD as I'm learning the program! The second was the actual LAD, with an amount of 11.628. That's an odd amount, but, it's maths.
500 LUV total were dropped in the LAD to anyone holding 25 LUV or more.
- Initially, I considered 50 LUV as the minimum, but lowered it to 25 to include more users.
- Yet, 25 seemed high enough to give the LAD to those users who have engaged with LUV.
- I also considered appropriating the LUV proportionally in some way...those with more LUV would get a larger LAD, those with less would get a lesser LAD. However, I opted for an equal drop. (In my view, there are benefits both ways.)
Please remember, this is not a dividend or return-on-investment (ROI). The LUV Appreciation Drop is simply a gift.
LUVshares NFTs
The LUVshares NFTs are currently all sold out. Round two featured Loov and Luvee. You can see them at https://nftshowroom.com/crrdlx/gallery (and then choose "All Created Art").
The 57 SWAP.HIVE funds from these sales were withdrawn as HIVE and have been moved from my account (@crrdlx) over to @LUVshares.
And, most of the HIVE was powered up to HP today. The NFT purchases are really helping LUVshares to build up HP and thus to replenish Resource Credits on its own. The plan is to continue this going forward.

Paying bills
With the liquid HIVE, I paid Privex.io for the VPS hosting services on which the LUVbot runs.
@privex provides a great service, accepts HIVE, and their fees are very reasonable. I wouldn't say paying bills is fun, but it was rewarding to pay for the VPS from LUVshares' own earnings. It's starting to stand on its own.
