Appreciate What You Have
25 years ago we all had one of these in our homes and now 99% of houses don't have a home phone as they are not required. Small things that are life changing yet we forget about them as we have grown accustomed to new technology. Technology stands still for no one and even though we have been working on the block chain for what seems like ages this is new for what will be billions of people in the future as they just don't know it yet. We know it as many of us were fortunate enough to get involved and crucially stay with it not like others thinking it was too hard. Maybe I should be saying Leo first and then Hive as it has a higher value currently.
Sometimes it takes things like a shitty work year to put everything into perspective. There are many less fortunate around who especially at the moment have a bleak future. Times are hard and they look set to be going to get harder and test everyone's resilience.
I was chatting to my brother this morning who hasn't worked since late last year. He is a lawyer who works short term contracts for mainly investment banks. The market is tough and I always told him to rather get a permanent job than work the more lucrative contract work. He doesn't get the furlough pay and is eating into his savings each month.
I am hoping one day my stake of Hive, Leo and Sports will at least hold some sort of value that gives me choices. Further down the line in the distant future I honestly believe this will be possible as the world will move over to digital currencies at some point. Block chain technology is hear to stay and will change many lives for the better.
The fruits of our labor that we have been earning on here over the last few years has to pay off at some point. I remember when I joined nearly 3 years ago how busy things were with thousands of people clambering to earn what they could. That has all changed now and history will repeat itself like it always does and thankfully all of us hard core bloggers of the community will benefit.
At some point you will appreciate everything you have done to grow as this is the perfect time to do just that. The quiet times that we are experiencing currently will be the easiest time to grow as I am sure many are experiencing that right now. Every post has literally double rewards with Hive and then Leo in this case.
The thing is though you don't realise how much you are growing as you are staking everything. This week I am guessing I will be staking 500 Hive and another 100 Leo which in theory is like another 200 Hive. If I throw on the Sports that will be another 100 Hive worth totaling in the region of 700 Hive which used to take me forever to earn in the past.
My family used to say I was wasting my time earning 5c a post and they had no interest in joining and signing up. Little do they know now things have changed and not everything is about the money. This to me is more of a fun hobby that could turn into something much bigger over time. The sad thing is how much time is being wasted by other people who actually need to earn a living not knowing about what we have here.
Hive and all the tribes are like the best kept secret and I can't see it being a secret forever. At some point something will happen to make this place go nuts again and if it is not Hive with a price climb then possibly it will be because of Leo as what has been achieved in such a short period of time has been nothing short of miraculous.
