Yesterday was one of those days you would rather avoid as I had a very expensive cup of coffee. The coffee was home brew and cheap, but the outcome wasn't. I tripped and a portion of the coffee hit my laptop resulting in things not working so well. One of those slow motion accidents when you see it playing out in front of you and you are part of the scene lol.

The truth is I needed to have the keyboard replaced anyway and that has now sped that process up. The problem was how long would I be down and out of action and with this post it means only 1 day which is not disastrous. I have borrowed my grandsons computer which is really basic but the main thing is it works. Slow is an understatement yet I am still smiling.

This is it for the next 4 days I reckon until I get the other one back but it means no to little downtime. When you are working on the Hive blockchain consistency is everything when you are growing and skipping 4 or 5 days would be disastrous. Not something I have done in over 4 years.

Not only that but the rewards lost over 4 or 5 days could turn out to be worth a few hundred dollars in a year or two as who knows where the price is going.

This has been a good test as the Hive Keychain makes things simple to move around from one laptop to the next. I will remove the extension on this borrowed laptop once mine is back. This has been a life saver so I am not complaining how basic it is. I normally operate with 10 plus tabs open at once and now only two as three doesn't open and shows how slow and limited this really is.

Last night I was Googling for a replacement as a worst case scenario as waiting too long was not an option. Things could be worse as at least I am back up and running and that is what counts.

Having a spare laptop is not such a bad idea and have always said to have one for crypto and one for everything else so I will be buying a new one very soon. In the last 4 or 5 years the laptop has earned many tens of thousands of dollars so having a decent one is well worth the investment.
