source Not a great experience as I felt their backend support was not available which it wasn't as it was non existent. Maybe they have improved now as answering a phone would be a start.

I started my journey in January 2018 when I started trading on Binance. I hadn't invested much as it was to test the waters and roughly $1200. I really enjoyed the time on there as it was a good learning curve losing and gaining daily. I had no idea things were about to crash around me and over the next few months the markets dipped and what was worth $1200 soon became $600.

In late February I had the unfortunate experience of having my funds stolen and still have no idea how. I have some ideas as I am learning and what was an enjoyable experience turned into a nightmare. Binance were no help though and the funds were gone within a few hours. Looking back I had some decent coins in my bag and if I am honest what I had would most likely be only worth $200 today but we all know that can change very quickly. It was a good lesson to learn as sometimes the smart thing is to just hold.

This lead me to looking on Google where I could still earn without having to invest. I stumbled across this place called Steemit and against every fiber in my body saying no I signed up in March. I am no writer and will rather phone you than email you as that is just me.

It took me time to feel comfortable posting and chatting to other people as this was the deep end of my comfort zone. Honestly I never thought I could make 1c doing this and today doing way better than I could ever have imagined.

GROWING AND BEING A PART OF A COMMUNITY I FIND REALLY IMPORTANT TO ME AND WHAT I REALLY ENJOY.

With no funds invested it meant that in order to make it work I had to just work harder than everyone else. 8 hours per day for the best part of two years is a serious commitment and not something I had thought about when originally signing up. No regrets though as the journey and personal growth has been thoroughly enjoyable and wouldn't change a thing.

EVERYONE WAS JUST SO MUCH MORE TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED COMPARED TO ME

Feeling as though you belong in something that is so far out of left field is what amazes me and shows that anyone can do this with the right mind set. I look at every day as another opportunity for growth and price has never worried me as taking out is not on the agenda.

I see all the earnings as a retirement fund and to possibly change the future financially for the better. I have pensions in place but one never knows what you may need to live a decent worry free life. I don't plan to take any chances and why I take this seriously as who knows how big the gold mine is we are sitting on currently. I believe it will shock everyone once crypto becomes mainstream and will change many peoples lives overnight.

I have joined a syndicate last year where we all put a small amount in and bought crypto which I will transfer my share out at some point. not much but there is some Eth and Cardano and a few others including a shitty coin called Verge.

I have now set aside small amounts each month to buy in and have registered again with another exchange. Currently busy with KYC and hope to be back in the game over the coming weeks. I have a new phone for 2FA and taking no chances this time as losing a second lot is not an option. Security has changed for the better over the last 3 years and what attracted me to Hive originally as the 13 weeks that most hate I love. That to me is what will attract the masses long term as they are not like most of you who are crypto street savvy.

To answer the question by @theycallmedan crypto hasn't impacted me financially but changed how I think in order to change my financials. In the future I will be thankful for being involved as the impact will happen big time.
