Mercedes as a company are changing by being innovative in everything they do. Germans are sometimes painful as they only expect perfection which is lucky for any of their customers. As a company though they have been moving at a breathtaking pace compared to their rivals. New models, new ideas and generally just a breath of fresh air. Moving to a more sustainable existence the company plans to have all electric vehicles no later than 2039. What we are seeing now is the start and the models will be greener than ever before with less plastic and more environmentally friendly alloys instead. Here are some things that you may find interesting showing why they will be the market leaders in their field of expertise.

The AMG ONE sports car was penciled in for a mid 2020 release date which isn't going to happen. Understandably the various lock downs in most countries around the world have had some impact on a delivery date. Most of the components come out of Germany and the UK so it will be a little late.

This car is road legal so one could go and fetch the kid (only two seats) or the bread and milk. I am sure many will fetch the milk saying they forgot the bread and will have to suffer another trip back to the shops. There are many aspects of the car that I like and would definitely be interested when I have that sort of capital. The features I like are is that the seat is stable and the steering column along with the pedals comes to you. Being rather tall that appeals to me for comfortably along with the many safety issues that have been thought about. I like the idea my backside is on something permanent and there are no rails involved. With over 1000 horse power what more would you want or need? source

There are 4 driving modes which are needed as one cannot be in a sports mode taking the one kiddie to school. I suppose you could if you have a brood meaning multiple trips. The car idles at 1200 rpm compared to the Formula One brother at 4000 rpm. The car boasts 3 electric motors. One on the turbo so it is instant with no lag plus one on each front wheel making sure the power is all around. This helps with harvesting energy using the curves system. Braking energy recharges the battery packs that run these electric motors.

So back to the 4 driving modes which can be adjusted and changed by using a simple dial. You have 2 x 10 inch screens which give you all the necessary info one may need. There is a pure EV mode for running around town so all electric. Then there is a range extender mode where the engine is turned on only to recharge the battery packs and extend your journey if required in the EV mode (no chance). The next is a hybrid mode which harnesses both power sources having the best of both worlds. The last and my favorite is the attack mode which uses the main engine and the electric motors are used for power boosts. Here are some time stats for you. 220 mph flat out (352km/h),0-100km'h in 2.7 seconds and 0-180km/h in under 6 seconds. lap times is where it will annihilate any other road car though as it has the Formula One technology with it's down force. Wouldn't this be great if it became the safety car at Formula One Grand Prix's in the not so distant future. I can see that happening as this has been the one complaint by most drivers struggling to keep the heat in the car tyres behind the safety car that is going flat out.

The car is currently going through final testing at the Nurbergring in Germany.How convenient for Hamilton and Bottas that they have a two week break between the last race in Barcelona and the next one in Belgium. I wouldn't be anywhere else and they call this work. source
