I have been tracking my growth for nearly 3 years now on Hive and the time is getting closer to moving up in the rankings to becoming an Orca. I can remember the days of the Red Fish League and Minnow league which @abh12345 and @paulag used to run. That seems like distant memory a long time ago, but actually only a few years. I miss those days as it taught you the art of growing by being consistent each week. That was the one thing I realised early on to start out as you are going to continue each and every day.

At the time I did mention why there wasn't another league to help Dolphins grow into Orca's, but realise now that two or three years is quite some time and years of commitment on Asher and Paula. I recognise quite a few names still here from those leagues as they helped with user retention levels. They helped me so much and gave me the grounding of what was required to grow. Getting there day by day and reckon another 6 maybe 7 weeks still.

Currently I am frustratingly close needing another 3800 HP to achieving the next level as it is a big jump from Dolphin to Orca. When you look at the effort it has taken just to get this far I will be well over 2000 posts and 10's of thousands of hours which is a scary thought. The great thing is I would do it all over again as it has been really enjoyable even though at times challenging. I was hoping to achieve this goal within 3 years but that looks like I will have to wait till April as Leo has wrecked my Hive plans by being so good and I have diluted my growth over the last few months converting big portions of HBD for Leo. A good sacrifice as I believe in both Leo and Hive having a great future.

There is no special one thing you can do as it is a combination of just staying active supporting others around you and looking to find new people who have interesting topics they write on. Everyone is different with their different views and opinions which for me makes this place so unique and has kept me entertained every single day.

The weird thing is if you come here for the money then I think you will struggle as the money will sneak up on you as your account grows. This is a bit like paint drying as it does take time firstly getting a foot hold before you start seeing the difference each day.

The slowly slowly catch a monkey best describes my Hive experience so far as being hasty with wanting it to happen just doesn't work. Having patience and heaps of patience pays off as the accumulative growth will kick in at some point. A prime example is how my Leo is going up slowly with my stake just on 2000 and over 3000 if I include the curation account. Last month my vote was worth only 0.140 and now 0.180 so a 25% growth in 4 weeks is decent as any growth is good in my book. This is the being consistent part kicking in and why you must post every day and engage with other members.
