Splinterlands battle post link:

Are you one of those bloggers who invested into many Cryptos including Bitcoin? Then, you must be tracking the pump these coins going thru and trading and taking profit. Right?

As we gear up to see this current season rewards in about 2 days, we all will be hoping for better rewards than last 2 3 season end rewards.

I am in better position this time to reach Diamond league and hopefully I will do so.

Here is my blog for this week's challenge of SHARE YOUR BATTLE weekly challenge with themed monster of Grim Reaper.

Grim Reaper is the Death Splinter Rewards category ranged attack monster which is known for it's good attack from level 1 itself and is also known for it's nice abilities.

It starts with 3 ranged attack and can go up till 4 from level 3 onwards while the speed starts on lower side with a speed of 2 and as we level up this monster, it can increase to a maximum of 4.
The life for this monster starts at 3 lives which can increase to 6 in the final level i.e. level 6.

The good thing about this monster is it's abilities in Affliction, Oppress and Pierce .

While Affliction is to remove the healing ability from a monster, Oppress is even more powerful which attacks with double power when it attacks any monster with no attack and the last ability of Pierce is something we are all familiar, which works like passing thru armors and reduces main health as well if the attack is more than the armors.

Lineup:

One of the high Mana cost battles was this one with 38 Mana cap and rule sets of Earthquake and Close Range.

Earthquake rule set made me to include some of flying monsters in Phantasm, Phantom Soldier and Soulstorm.

Close Range means, the monsters with ranged attack can also attack from front position and that prompted me to include Octopider.

Grim Reaper and Creeping Ooze were the remaining 2 monsters in my lineup as consolidated below:

Fantasm
Fantom Soldier
Soulstorm
Octopider
Grim Reaper and
Creeping Ooze

Phantasm:

This flying monster, I felt is good for the front position as it can evade the attack from melee and ranged attack monsters and can survive the earthquake as well.

Phantom Soldier:

Another flying monster for the Earthquake rule set and this being the magic attack monster, it can directly attack and reduce main health.

Soulstorm:

The last flying monster in my lineup is this Soulstorm which is a ranged attack monster with nice speed and since it's flying one, it can evade the attacks from melee and ranged attack monsters and also it can attack from front position as this is a closed range battle.

Octopider:

Another ranged attack monster which is with an armor and good life of 8 and gives 3 attack.

Grim Reaper:

The theme monster for this week, Grim Reaper is a must have whenever we expect some no attack and healing monsters in opponent's lineup.

This is a handy monster with useful 3 ranged attack from level 1 and stops a monster from getting healed once it attacks it.

Creeping Ooze:

Last on my lineup was this speed buster monster used to take advantage of attacking first and get rid of few monsters early.

Battle:

Here are the details of the battle with battle link shared below and few screenshots as well shared below from the battle.

Here I go with the battle details.

Below are some of the screenshots from this battle with few screenshots I tried capture at the fall of each monster:

Living Lava got removed early due to melee and ranged attack monsters I used:

Phantasm got removed from my lineup with Phantom Soldier coming to front:

Second monster from opponent's lineup has to go out with the attack from the same ranged and melee monsters:

Earthquake removing Creeping Ooze from my lineup and Spirit Miner from opponent's lineup:

Phantom Soldier getting removed after the earthquake and attack from opponent's monsters:

Soulstorm I used got removed as the monsters attacking from front position as well due to Close Range:

All the remaining monsters got removed due to earthquake except for the Octopider I used and that was the end of the battle!!!:

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

Yes, usage of suitable flying and ranged monsters for the rule sets given made this battle an easier one for me.

If I wasn't using Grim Reaper, I would have used any other flying monster as this was an earthquake battle.

Do you use the Spirit Shaman often? Why or why not?

Yes, I do use it a lot because of it's good attack and the nice abilities it possesses.

It's always nice to be on the winning side and this was rather easy battle for me with opponent not having many flying monsters which resulted in his monsters getting earthquaked.
The season end is round the corner and I am just trying to reach the Diamond league which I couldn't do in last few seasons and hoping for that may be today itself to keep some buffer time for myself.
Thanks for going thru this battle and supporting my blogs as ever.
Wishing you the best season end rewards in this season which is going to be ended in 2 days time.

Wishing you all happy battling and happy Saturday :)
