One of the things that many investors are looking for is to be able to have passive income to have different sources of income.

At Hive we have this possibility in the simplest way, which is by curating, and in this way we gain more Hive. The same goes for various community tokens such as LEO.

In addition to curation in our ecosystem, we have several tokens in the Hive Engine that distribute dividends to their stakeholders.

Since there are several of these tokens, I decided to do an analysis of some dividend tokens that exist in HE and understand the time needed to break even the investment.

The chosen tokens were DHEDGE, UTOPIS, BRO, HUSTLER, SPI, INDEX, ALIVE, LoLZ and PIMP.

Let's look at each of them...

Token prices and the distribution of dividends were made taking into account the data of the 24th of January.

DHEDGE

DHEDGE is an HE token that distributes dividends daily to different Hive Engine tokens.

The distributed tokens are ARCHONM, GAMER, UTOPIS, BRO, ARCHON, DHEDGE and SIM.

On this day, to 1 DHEDGE was distributed the equivalent of 0.00002521 HIVE. Bear in mind that 1 DHEDGE is priced at 0.08000001 HIVE, which means that it would take 8 years and 6 months to break even the investment.

UTOPIS

UTOPIS is a token that distributes Hive dividends on a weekly basis.

Taking into account that 1 UTOPIS received 0.00592621 HIVE, and it costs 0.504 HIVE, it would take about 85 weeks (1 year and 9 months) to break even.

BRO

Like UTOPIS, BRO distributes a weekly HIVE as a dividend.

On this day 1 BRO received 0.004404 HIVE and 1 BRO was worth 10.8999799 HIVE it would take approximately 2476 weeks to break even.

HUSTLER

HUSTLER is yet another token that distributes HIVE daily to its stakeholders.

1 HUSTLER received 0.00000005 HIVE having a price of 0.0002999 HIVE it would take approximately 600 days (1 year, 7 months and 15 days) to break even.

INDEX

INDEX distributes other HE tokens daily as dividends.

The distributed tokens were VOUCHER, ENTRY, GAMER, SIM, STEM, and WEED. For 1 INDEX the equivalent of 0.0008948 Hive was received.

1 INDEX costs 0.44989984 this makes it necessary approximately 5029 trips (14 years) years to break even.

ALIVE

ALIVE distributes other HE tokens daily as dividends.

The distributed tokens are DHEDGE, LoLz, PGM, BRO and AWESOME.

In Hive it would be equivalent to 0.00000471 HIVE. 1 ALIVE costs 0.03099979 HIVE making it take approximately 6580 days to break even.

LOLZ

LOLZ is a token that distributes other tokens that can be different every day.

In this day BEE, WAIV and NEOXAG were distributed.

This token has a particularity, as the dividends are only distributed by the top 125 holders.

The distributed dividends gave the equivalent of 0.00002529 HIVE this means that 712 days are needed to break even.

PIMP

PIMP distributes 38 different tokens daily as dividends.

The distributed tokens are FUN, LOLZ, STEM, THGAMING, PGM, BEATCZ, CENT, VOUCHER, SPACO, CCC, FOODIE, NFTM, VIBES, MEME, HUSTLER, LOTUS, WAIV, LIST, COM, ENTRY, ONEUP, PAL, ALIVE, GAMER, CINE, CTP, NEOXAG, WEED, APE, SPT, POB, DEC, SPS, LEO, UTOPIS, BEE, SIM and DHEDGE.

On this day, 1 PIMP was entitled to receive the equivalent of 0.00000164 HIVE and 1 PIMP costs 0.00998996 HIVE, approximately 6064 days are needed to break even.

I know that there are more dividend tokens like, for example, SPI or LGN, but I was not able to gather the necessary data to do this type of analysis.

I hope this can somehow help someone understand what each of these tokens offer and manage people's expectations.
