A bizarre situation is emerging on noise.cash and its causing me to doubt the future of BitcoinCash.

Nothing has changed with the token, it's still more efficient than Bitcoin and massively undervalued, the issue lays with the people that are endorsing it.

Recently 300 BCH was raised on flipstarter by David Bond Productions to fund a series of video blogs shilling BCH to the world. David Bond has a lot of experience travelling through Asia (This is foreshadowing), a continent that has already widely begun adopting BCH for payments. So makes sense that he would be a good candidate for advertising it more right?

Maybe if he had morals.

I'm going to try and explain David Bond in the order that I learned about him, rather than purely what Google says (and he denies) about him.

I was first alerted to his existence a few days ago when he and his entourage crashed into noise.cash and immediately begun swinging for anyone that spoke out about him.

The guy actively searches for his own name in order to confront people talking about him. Noise.cash has become the Internet equivalent of chanting Bloody Mary infront of a mirror. If Bloody Mary had a weak chin and receding hairline.

Know your audience David

Anyone that has been in or witnessed an argument online has probably seen this childish counter. Rather than addressing the actual topic, he goes for an irrelevant personal attack.

In normal social media that's a pathetic tactic. But consider the context, he's asking why someone hasn't uploaded a photo of themselves on a crypto community. A community that prides itself on privacy, and where KYC can be a hard deal breaker. How has he been funded despite not knowing basic nuances of the community he's meant to be advertising?

Needless to say this caught my attention.

So I decided to Google him, to see what sort of publicity 300 BCH can- Oh fuck

Some pretty huge allegations there. In the interest of fairness I have watched a few of his videos. Turns out there isn't enough bleach in the world to rinse my eyes with. My personal favourite tactic of his to make three different tinder accounts to report the girl you're preying on so that she can't match with anyone else. What a player eh boys?

Scared to look any further I had a look on his twitter account to see- oh for fuck sake.

Yep he's a massive racist too.

But don't worry, Marc De Mesel (the donator of all of noise.cash's tip funds) has thoroughly vetted him.

"I didn't see any racism or sexism but he does appear to be a fucking scumbag"

So what happens next?

There's a lot of ways this can play out. The cancel culture brigade could catch wind of noise.cash and start an absolute shit show, David could learn a little class and not rise to every post about him and go back to doing what he was paid to do, or maybe nothing at all happens. I'm starting to suspect BCH use was going to increase in South-East Asia even without shady e-personalities shilling it.

But I suspect this article is going to very quickly need a "part 2".
