I always said that noise.cash was unsustainable and would be temporary. To their credit they've lasted a lot longer than I expected, but it seems like the end is nigh. Tipping posts is still possible but users are reporting the payments are no longer sent to wallets.
The site was fueled by a pot of Bitcoin Cash worth roughly $6,000,000 "donated" by investor Marc DeMesel but it appears that the pot has dried up.

This post from noise user Eybyoung shows what appears to be the noise.cash free tip wallet now empty which explains users not receiving payments in the last 72 hours.

DeMesel never really spoke about why he funded the .cash sites but I've always presumed it was to artificially make the blockchain look busy and more attractive to other investors. A site that was often posted to visualize how efficient the BCH network is compared to BTC is https://txstreet.com/v/bch The effect of noise.cash no longer paying out hundreds of small transactions is now apparent with that very empty street!

Compared with a predictably busy Ethereum page.

Sadly it doesn't seem to have paid off, the price of BCH has suffered as much as any other coin during this bear market and DeMesel even posted about selling a large amount of his BCH holdings (in a now apparently deleted noise.cash post).

I've used noise.cash for over a year now and it's the platform that opened my eyes to the world of crypto "earning". While I didn't agree with much of what Marc posted about (I made several posts here about how vile he is), I suppose I owe him thanks for a few hundred dollars of his BCH and several noise users introducing me to the (much more sustainable) world of Hive.

Short answer was yes. Lovely chap

With noise gone I expect people to seek out other means of earning from short posts. Personally I'll be taking a lot of my photography to Appics, but now would be the ideal time for a sustainable short form
posting platform with its own token system to appear.
