Hive is a liveable blockchain ecosystem nation because...

There have been talks about viewing cryptocurrencies and blockchain projects as nations. See this, this and this.

I am getting the sense that the 'liveability' value of the blockchain is going to make the difference. That is, the extent of how much one can center one's life around that particular ecosystem would make people stay.

Take the case of Ethereum as an example. It has defi, NFT, and the other good stuff that makes people prosper. Early adopters would have no problem with the gas fees. For the latecomers, the gas fee kills! It is like migrating to Eth-Land and finding that even bus fares are exorbitant. Not very livable. Similar reference was made here too.

What would we do if we are the poor latecomers migrating to an advanced developed country? It is either we make do with the high cost in hope that things will improve, or we leave.

In the physical world, migration is not easy.

But not in the crypto world.

It is easy to pivot to another blockchain that is more liveable to do what we need to do, i.e. defi, NFT, etc.

In this case, Hive is one very liveable blockchain to consider. Those of you who are already here already know this. Those new to Hive should poke around and ask some questions before deciding to migrate here. Having zilch gas fees here is one perk.

Now, would there be other blockchain ecosystems that will be liveable too? Of course!

Just as more nations surface as time progresses (or more companies are formed) to meet the demands of different people, it is natural to see more blockchain ecosystems popping up.

The reality is one can also be a citizen of different blockchains. In the physical world, it might not be possible for some people to hold multiple passports. But in the blockchain world, it is possible.

So for a better quality of 'blockchain' life, I hope more ecosystems are established. After all, people are free to choose whichever to dwell in. No maximalist thinking of any sort here, please.

Then it boils down to getting ourselves educated to see which is the most suitable.

Thus far, I only see Hive having this extra edge of education of the blockchain revolution through its fundamental blogging use case. I don't know of another blockchain ecosystem that has such a huge self-sustaining information sharing service that also does defi, gaming etc.

The fact that I am learning and reflecting through this post makes Hive very liveable indeed.
