The colourful picture you see above is the interface of the Nimiq game, Nimtris.

The aim of the game is to connect at least three of the same colour block to earn points, while clearing them. Sort of like Tetris, if you survived the 90s.

In this game you rotate the hexagon in the middle by using the left and right arrow on the keyboard. In the picture above, I could press the left arrow once so that the hexagon will rotate left, if I needed the yellow to align. In actual fact, I can just leave it and the three yellows will be cleared when the three yellow are stacked. You get the drift.

What I like about this game is that the speed increases after a while, and it can get pretty exciting.

The blocks get chalked up pretty quickly as you can see above!

Nimtris https://nimtris.com/ is a play-to-earn game from the Nimiq blockchain http://www.nimiq.com/. Every 1000 points get you 0.01 $NIM. It is peanuts given that 1 NIM currently stands at $0.002208 (on 2 May 2022).

But heck, it is really fun!

Personally, I think Nimiq has got a great potential as a blockchain project. It prides itself a blockchain that has the easiest on-ramp process. Indeed, there is no complicated wallet to deal with. Nothing in the likes of metamask or even Hive Keychain. It is ultra-simple to create and send $NIM around, with negligible gas fees.

The best thing about Nimiq, I think, is that it allows anyone with JavaScript skills to create something that uses the Nimiq blockchain. Knowing how many Javascript developers there are in the world, the adoption can be insane once, and if, it is adopted.

A recent thing I realised is that Nimtris works directly on my mobile phone's browser, without a glitch!
