Then Stacksmashing programmed the ROM or read-only memory of the Game Boy, whose development kit is open source to implement a software to mine bitcoin on GPU. In this way, the youtuber started the device reaching just 0.8 hashes per second.

Taking into account that a WhatsMiner M30S can reach 112 terahashes per second, this mining team then has a performance that is 140 billion times higher than a Game Boy.

That means that, if we wanted to mine 1 BTC with just one Game Boy, it would take approximately two billion years; unfortunately, before the thermal death of the universe would arrive and the BTC that we get would not help us much.

Tomando en cuenta que una WhatsMiner M30S puede alcanzar 112 terahashes por segundo, este equipo minero entonces tiene un rendimiento que está 140 mil millones de veces por encima de una Game Boy.

Eso significa que, si quisiéramos minar 1 BTC sólo con una Game Boy, tardaríamos aproximadamente dos mil billones de años; lamentablemente, antes llegaría la muerte térmica del universo y el BTC que consigamos no nos serviría de mucho.

Este nueva idea, para ser justos no es nada rentable, pero es sin duda su creador tiene un gran ingenio e creatividad.
