Engagement matters!

Plain and simple. To use a potentially poor metaphor, engagement is the difference between an impressive company building where nothing was done since it was put up, and the same impressive company building with the windows cleaned, fresh carpet by the front entrance, the greenery trimmed and neat, the front lawn watered and mowed and colorful flowers in the landscaping.

Point being, engagement isn't merely important in the general well-being of the existing users, it is also important in conveying "this is a happening place" to an external audience, whether they are just driving by, or seriously looking into joining.

I do remember the "Minnow ASAP" project, along with "10K Minnows" and various other building programs that (in my opinion) really helped keep Steem afloat at a time when few people actually gave a damn. Putting something similar in place in a venue that is already thriving will only strengthen it and add another layer of incentive for growth.

Look forward to more!
