The bHBD-bHIVE pool on Pancakeswap, driven by Cubdefi.com, has been steadily growing since it is initiated less than one week ago.

The liquidity has grown from 13k to now 56k in USD and hence the APR drops from 93% to 37% at the moment. Still a very high number if you ask me. :)

This very farm/pool creates history on Hive/Steem history and it actually means much more than just a milestone.

Why so?

I can think of two.

Firstly, it creates a unprecedented opportunity for those who wish to hold liquid HIVEs and HBDs.

Currently you just need to possess equal amount of both tokens and you can enjoy the 37% APR at least for now. What do you get if you don't do this with your liquid HIVEs and HBDs?

Nothing.

This farm now gives you even higher return than their staked/saved version!! That's right. What APR do you get with Hive Power? I bet less than 20%, even 10% is good enough. HBD saving is good at 20% APR but still less than this one.

If you get to hold liquid assets and enjoy very sweet returns at the same time, seriously... what's keeping you from doing it?

Indeed there is extra risk with defi. This is very true for very defi platform. But I assume the risk is minimized with the team @leofinance.

The second point is related to the first one. Being able to keep HIVEs HBDs liquid, you are able to increase your flexibility for asset management.

Like today the price of HIVE moves significantly (not extremely but enough), if you want to sell at this price but your HIVE are all powered up, you need to wait for one week to get 1/13 of it. No use at all. Sometimes even the price of HBD pumps (weird phenomenon of the Hive ecosystem), you may also use the liquidity here to benefit from the pump.

Of course, the catch is that those two are both wrapped tokens on BSC, so the respective vaults cannot be depleted when you need the bridging. But the team has made some adjustment so as to minimize this situation from happening.

The liquidity now is still too small for big swap quantities. Hopefully if Cubdefi can grow from its bottom so we can further grow this pool, then the positive feedback will kick in to form a deep marketplace for our beloved HIVE and HBD outside the native chain but on a EVM chain that can unlock their defi potentials!
