Hanging around wherever on blockchain...... I don't feel like I'm a big deal. Recently I've been hitting some important milestones. They've been good at showing off how early we are. Even if you have 1% of the net worth of Bill Gates or Jeff Bezos, you are still going to be one of the Top 2000 richest people on Earth. That's kind of what I feel here.

Witness My Humble Glory!

Another Day Later With Better LEO Price

It's Over 2K on Hive

I Love Blurt!

I don't think people pay enough attention to Blurt. There's so many good people there. I think they deserve our support. Here's something I said to @taskmaster4450

Think of Hive Dapps supporting each other. We really need this ATM. Different front ends are trying to onboard new users. Those who sign up with https://leofinance.io may have no clue about Splinterlands or https://d.buzz or https://3speak.online I've found many Dapps because they were part of the Hive ecosystem.

Eg: I find out and eventually join @risingstargame because I was involved with @battlegames Surly there's many similar stories for many people. After they have Keychain installed everyone can easily interact with all Hive Dapps. We have to think of the full ecosystem and support others. We can all win.

I think we could do the same with other friendly Dapps. There needs to be no competition between Blurt and LeoFinance. They are 2 separate things. But there could be a great audience overlap. Going on Blurt will give new users an easy place to grow their audience without much competition. LeoFinance will be a great place when user want to focus more on crypto/economy/trading stuff exclusively. We can support each other.

Did You Notice I My LEO is Bigger Than Hive?

This was a fun tbhing to notice. You know the coolest part? It is the community that gave me most of this value. I didn't even pay for 10% of my stake. You guys did!

I paid for much of my Hive, still I end up making more from an airdrop & the love of community. I'd like to mention few of my biggest voters. I'm really sorry if I missed any of you :)

@onealfa.leo @taskmaster4450le @dalz1 @phython @krunkypuram @empoderat @forexbrokr @inertia @trumpman2 @oldtimer @deflacion and so many others who gave their small votes to me helped me come to this place. For this I am grateful and I really have to thank all of the hundreds/thousands of people who read, vote and follow me.

470th Biggest Vote Here

Don't believe me; check out https://leodex.io/richlist/LEO You'l find me on page 10. This is really cool, awesome and also kind of humbling considering my votes are barely nothing on Hive and just a little better on LEO. But I've always wanted to do things well here. No curator has all the time in the world. There's so much content and users. Today I did something that looked like it might make a difference. I found @rob23

Nothing special was there. It was a random user posting some OK content. Account Joined December 2020. It's exactly 22 days old according to https://hiveblocks.com User had 25 reputation and barely any votes. I dropped few of my tiny votes. reputation hit 30 after spending over 3 weeks on Hive. I even reblogged this post There were only 6 votes (and mine was 7th) At the time of writing there's 15 votes.

Take a look at the screenshot. @rob23 has no followers. Check the account now. It's not zero anymore because the user has me as the 1st follower. What does it all mean? Who is even @rob23? I have no clue. Will @rob23 completely change Hive/LEO and be a celebrity/investor or something? I wouldn't bet on it. Then why even bother?........ for that I have an answer!

This Feels More Like Orca

I picked the numbers for LEO stake hierarchy from a post from @hitmeasap They are as following:

Making past an arbitrary number that still doesn't make me give a 1 LEO vote doesn't really feel much except that it's going to be worth so much in the future. (LEO did go from under 24 cents to over 41 cents in the past week!) But making a small difference to a new users who's been around for 22 days with no following and barely any attention seemed like something that could be worth a shot. It probably meant nothing at the end. But that's fine.

If you follow @vimukthi you've probably seen the above 2 videos. They are soem of the most amazing videos on YouTube and I'd really love you guys to watch them.

I'm just 1 person and this is just 1 incident. We need more of these. Onboarding doesn't mean much of users don't stick around and have a great time. We'll be like a F2P game which have to keep onboarding new users or we'll end up a platform that's really awesome but hard to make it to the top for any new users. I don't think @khaleelkazi want some lousy reward distribution that simply favor the status quo.

I can't make a difference. LEO whales can't make a difference even if they want to. They are human beings with limited time and energy. They can only read so much content. We are a community & I believe this should be a community effort to lift up the new users.

Finally Some Closing Thoughts About Future of Hive

I could summarize most of what I have to say in 3 letters S M T

Take a look at who's making most new Hive accounts. @threespeak @leofinance @splinterlands make up a big chunk of them. These are all independent communities trying to do their own thing and build their own platform on Hive infrastructure.

We Must Consider Ethereum As Our Competition

We can't do everything Ethereum does. We don't have to. We can be a different way of doing what ETH Dapps have been doing. Splinterlands vs Gods Unchained is a great example of this. Both are Collectable Card games on blockchain with high production quality compared to everything else in the market. Yet.....................

Gods Unchained Lost half A Million Dollars on Ethereum Blockchain

This is something I learned from an old comment by @themarkymark

Their devs had to develop Immutable X as a means to make Gods Unchained usable as an NFT game on Ethereum. Here's their announcement post: https://blog.godsunchained.com/2020/05/08/introducing-immutable-x

Here's a quote:

To help make this goal possible, we’re building Immutable X, a decentralized, non-custodial exchange that scales trading on the Ethereum network with instant settlement and zero gas fees. Sound like a lot? It is!

It's a basic feature we have on Hive! They had to dedicate their resources to build it separately. Imagine saving $500,000 + tons of dev time while giving better user experience! That's Hive.

After you've done with it there's #spt community where you can post about your gameplay and earn rewards. Isn't that cool!

@khazrakh made a cool post on Hive gaming too:

Gamers Are Perfect For Hive

  • They are young
  • They know tech
  • They have fun and like to experiment
  • They are familiar with spending real money on fake stuff they don't even own
  • Anybody who had their accounts shut knows value of owning your own assets you paid & played for

If you want Hive to succeed, you should put serious attention on getting more gamers onbaord. Games on Hive is an easy sell for Dapp developers. We've already got #1 Dapp (Splinterlands) and we can show case studies like Splinterlands vs Gods Unchained.

Onboard Gamers/Geeks/Techies & Nurture Them

This will be a great path for us into the future. Gamers are used to dealing with numbers. What they lacks is interest. MMOs have had massive economies for ages. Take a look at these:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPffjpXKcFk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrW6p5ns8K8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQRzr2zU2Xw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUNYQl0hlyk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjhHazg5GRY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VU0jxPZpAO8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDfNoCjtXvQ

Tell Me Gamers and Economics Doesn't Mesh Well - I Dare You!

Don't stereotype finance as something for people in business suits. Gamers can be real tenacious when something gets their interest. If we create the right kind of fertile ground and have more Hive Blockchain Games on top of a decent gamer population on LEO, we can have some serious success.

These are my thoughts as a new Orca on Hive. I hope you found some new ideas and inspiration here. I'll try & see if I can buy even more LEO. The prices are going up fast (with the announcement of announcement and etc.) I believe in a far better future and I'll try what I can to further that cause. I hope you'll contribute too :)
