Splinterland Cards & Rental Income Has Gone Through The Roof While I wasn't Watching!!! 1/3 of All Spellbooks Sold in Last 2 Weeks!
Today I came across 1 Epic Gold Foil from Qyest Rewards. Those are super rare to come by. It's been a long long time since I got a Gold Foil that isn't Common or Rare. What blew my mind was the price it was listed for. I did HODL what I earned and what I bought in game knowing the time will come. I was just not paying attention to prices :)
Good Things Happen To Those Who HODL
That's a massive value for something I got from few hours of gaming - thanks to those pesky server overloads. I took this opportunity to try out Rental System V2. This one is all based on DEC. That's kind of stability & price floor. Mostly I think it's just easier for devs on back end.
Renting For 1st Time
I've never rented from other players. I only buy/sell cards. Even when I sell it's for other Splinterlands assets or Hive investment.
Suggested price is the best offer currently on market. No need to be greedy. No need to wait long for someone to rent from me. Let the free market do its job - by offering even better price :)
That's not something I'd like doing when selling. But renting is passive income. I like being generous. It's just extra DEC to spend on even more Splinterlands. I'm saving for Chaos Legion. There's going to be airdrops!

This is not even the craziest story. It's how fast onboarding happens. No need to be surprised with the god awful user experience with overloaded servers.
Spellbok Sales Timeline
- 20K sold in 2.5 years
- Another 20K sold in another 5 months
- 20K Spellbooks sold in last 2 weeks!
Take you time to think how big those numbers are. Spellbook means paying players These are what really matters.
- They've got Hive accounts
- They probably use Keychain
- They'd probably use other Hive Dapps soon
50% Growth In 2 Weeks!
With great growth comes great pains. This has been my experience:
See what's on the right side? Nobody wants to see that. Hope these issues will be solved soon. There's another issue I've noticed. Hivedapps.com stats looks broken:
@therealwolf Please take a look at this :) It looks so weird. We need to give better impression to newcomers than this. Maybe issue is with Splinterlands. Hope it'll get fixed soon. You've got my well wished with you!
