Buckle up! Now that reality has up and slapped everyone in the face again and we realize Bitcoin is not going straight to $1M, the question remains, what are we going to do about it?

I get it, it can be hard to focus on doing the little things when there seems to be this cloud of FUD hanging over our head. Questions keep racing through our brains: How far is it going to drop? Should I be selling? Why didn't I sell the other day, I KNEW it was going to correct? What if the doomsayers are right? blah, blah, blah. A neverending litany of what-ifs and if-onlys.

So, what ARE we going to do? If there's one thing I've learned in the last four years (and, in life in general) you can only control what you can control. I can't control what's happening to the markets. What I CAN control is right in front of me.

There's a little blockchain called HIVE that enables me to actually earn tokens (money) by posting quality content, commenting on other quality content, and voting on other peoples quality content. The fact that I happen to believe this little blockchain is *in its early stages and is on the brink of potentially exploding into the crypto world is even more reason for me to be getting my hands on as much of it as I can.

To accomplish that, I've been combing through all of the amazing content in different communities; commenting and engaging on their posts. Why? Well, for starters, they usually appreciate it. Who doesn't like upvotes and feeling like the work they put in was recognized?

Secondly, it's interesting. We have *people from all over the globe putting their unique perspective on what's going on in the world. There's a lot to be learned from seeing things from different perspectives. Again, not just in crypto, but in life.

A third reason is: we get paid. So not only is it gratifying and interesting, but we also can *earn a little extra money for doing it. How great is that?!!? Every time we post something we have an opportunity to earn something, regardless of whether its our own content or commenting on someone else's.

Plus, by actually doing it, we're learning **how to do it better*. We give ourselves the chance to figure out what works and what doesn't. We get to meet and engage with people doing the things we'd like to do. We get to increase our reputation so the posts we make can garner more attention down the road. We may even catch the attention of a "whale" who will take a liking to what we're doing and help us along the road.

In other words, we're doing the little things that allow the big things to happen organically. We're buckling down.

So, it's not, as the title suggests, buckle up OR buckle down.

It's Buckle Up AND Buckle Down.

Thanks for reading....comments welcome.
