I read a post this morning about how one of our members reached a milestone in his account in HivePower(HP). He was celebrating the fact that he's made $1000 on his Hive account while being here and he compared it to how much he had made on the big social media sites (Twitter, Facebook, etc.): a big fat 0.

It got me to thinking, there should be a slogan we can all use on our Twitter, Facebook, etc. accounts that basically sums up why those users should come to Hive. It needs to be short, to the point, and somewhat catchy. Something people can see a few times here and there and the more they see it, the more it "itches" in the back of their minds that they should really check it out.

What I've come up with is:

**YOU Make the Money with HIVE---the Way it SHOULD be!!!

Or maybe just as the title suggests:

HIVE---the way it SHOULD be!!!

If you think about it, what are these social media giants actually selling? Us. Our information, our spending habits, our viewing habits, our social networks, our friends and families. Basically every last ounce of information they can squeeze out of us that helps them target us as individuals so their advertisers can make more money. And the services are FREE! Seriously, think about it. How can Facebook and Twitter be worth THAT much money when they don't even charge us a thing to have an account? The answer is simple: WE ARE WHAT THEY'RE SELLING!!

There's an old saying that goes, "There's a jackass in every group. If you look around the room and don't see one, guess what? YOU are the jackass!" That's what these social media companies have done to us. We are the jackasses. Don't you think it's time WE made the money for our OWN buying habits, social networks, personal information? Me, too.
