My experience minting with Rare Ghost Club
Gathering my Rare Ghosts ๐ป
Here lately I have been posting daily about https://www.rareghostclub.com/. This is a new NFT project that is coming from the founders of a brand that I've supported for over a decade now called https://pinkdolphinonline.com/. The previews of the Rare Ghosts have looked really awesome and there is a lot of community support over in the Discord group https://discord.gg/sx82CesCST.
These are some of my favorite previews so far.
You may have seen my post yesterday about the launch of the 48-hour public sale. There I discussed my goal of minting at least 20 Rare Ghosts in total. To many, that may seem like a lot, but to me, it was an amount that I could comfortably afford. When I value something highly, I am not afraid to show my support in a big way.
Time for some maths ๐ค
I am very proud to say that I was able to achieve my goal of 20 Rare Ghosts and then some. Now that I have completed my minting phase, I thought it would be fun to go over some of my numbers, but also pictured myself looking back on this blog many months from now. Remember that it costs .08 ETH to mint one Rare Ghost. You must of course pay gas fees on top of that, which vary depending on when you mint. Let's see what I was able to do with my ETH.
Presale
I minted my whitelisted maximum amount of 3 Rare Ghosts during presale for .297. I was a patient man before finally pulling the trigger. I saw many pay .33+ to get their three. I felt great about staying under .3 for my initial trio.
Public Sale
I allocated 1.89 ETH to spend during the public sale. I was able to get 19 more during the public sale, this is what my minting process looked like.

The reason I didn't just do 10 at a time twice is that I was in there right away and the website was still set to a max of three at a time from the presale limit. They did update it after a little bit and I caught the option to do 10 at once eventually. I may have missed out on some very slight savings, but it wasn't enough to get me fuming.
Total cost to mint
When you add it all up, I spent 2.139 ETH on 22 Rare Ghosts and had .03 ETH leftover.
.097 per Rare Ghost on average is not a bad number in my mind.

Now I just have to be patient and wait for the reveal on Sunday. As of writing this, 3,500/10,000 Rare Ghosts have been minted. The floor over on https://opensea.io/ is around .1 ETH, for the time being. I have zero plans of listing any of mine right now, I would be furious if I accidentally sold the unrevealed legendary. I need this chain!
If all 10,000 are not minted, the remaining supply will be burned. After that is when the randomization happens and everyone will have their Rare Ghosts revealed to them in their wallets.
RGC Roadmap ๐ญ
If you are wondering why on earth I got so many of these Rare Ghosts, it stems from my affinity towards Pink+Dolphin. I consider myself an OG in that arena and I've watched the team continually grow and reinvest. We can also take a look at the plans for the future below. There are many reasons to be excited to hold one or more of these Rare Ghosts. I am personally most excited about the exclusive physical items, additional airdrops, and RGC Webstore.
It will take weeks, months, maybe even years to see all of this play out. I am confident in my investment and know that I have the patience needed to be successful with Rare Ghost Club and all of our dope members. I'm looking forward to the whale chat channel on Discord. It was announced that you need 10 or more Rare Ghosts to gain access to that exclusive channel. Looks like I'm good to go and I look forward to the connections I will make there.
