Yesterday, December 1st, was a Hive Power Up Day [HPUD]. This happens every 1st of the month.
I have seen a lot of HPUD posts, probably more than the usual so I was curious about the data. Let’s take a look how much Hive was powered up and how it compares with the previous HPUD events.

Here we will be looking at the following:

• Hive powered up in the last 7 days for reference

• Hive powered up on the previous HPUDs,

• Number of accounts powering up on HPUDs

• Top accounts that powered up on Dec 1

Hive Powered Up in the last 7 days

Here is the chart for the Hive powered up in the last 7 days and on December 1st, HPUD.

A total of 130k HP was powered up on December 1st, 2020. When we compare this to the previous days, we can see that it’s the highest value, so the HPUD event does have an impact. Although on Nov 25th there was 116k powered up. A large account powering up can impact the numbers a lot.

Historical Hive Powered Up on HPUDs

Here is the chart including the previous Hive Power Up Days.

Compared to the previous HPUDs, starting from May 2020, the Dec 1st HPUD is the second best in terms of amount of Hive powered up. A mentioned a total of 130k Hive powered up on the last HPUD.

The no.1 HPUD is June 1st, 2020 with 663k Hive powered up. This is mainly because blocktrades powered up a 500k on that date.

If we exclude the June 1st HPUD, we can notice a small up trend, in the amount powered up on the HPUDs.

Numbers of accounts powering up more than 100 HP

The @hivebuzz app by @arcange rewards users with a power up badge. To be eligible for this badge you need to power up at least 100 HP. Lets check the numbers for accounts powering up more than 100 HP on HPUDs.

A clear up trend here. Although in terms of accounts participating with more than 100 HP, December 1st is a bit down. The first month after all the previous months that had an increase in the number of users participating. This is terms of numbers of accounts. In terms of HP powered up December 1st is better than the previous one.

Who Powered Up The Most?

Who is the champion of the Hive Power Up Day for December 1st?
Here is the chart.

@therealwolf is on the top with almost 28k Hive powered up. @daltono is second with 15k Hive powered up and @policewala third with around 6k.

The accounts on the bottom of the rank all have around 1k HP powered up. Have in mind this if you want to be in the top accounts who powered up on the next HPUD. Just power up more than 1k and you are in 😊.
