Why DeFi levels the playing field

Decentralized Finance (DeFi) is just in its infant years, but it's already showing all signs of a disruptive technology. There is a lot to be said about DeFi, but one thing that seems inevitable is that it will lower the entry-level to investing in startups and, therefore, in some way, level the playing field when it comes to investment yield.

Of course, rich people will have the potential of making more money than those with almost nothing, and the giant whales can still influence the markets in ways that the average Joe can't. But by lowering the entry-level and making it possible for anyone to invest in almost anything, your skill and dedication will, in the long run, be more important than your starting bankroll.

Because when we talk about DeFi, we shouldn't just stare at the current market where most products and projects are finance related. With the tokenization of everything, there will be countless possibilities to invest in and support projects you believe in. This is crowdfunding but with an opportunity to earn a return, and if you're invested enough, and the tokens allow it, govern and develop the project in different ways.

Investing in interesting startups has for a long time been exclusive to the big investors, or at least people with big enough bankrolls to play an important part, as it would have been a real pain in the behind to try to organize thousands and thousands of small investors. With today's ICO:s, IFO:s etc., anyone can join in with almost as little as they want.

I believe DeFi has a bright future and that people who understand the technology today will be the big sharks of tomorrow. When I was a kid, I learned how to save money on my bank account; I'm teaching my kids about DeFi. I hope you are too.
