Did I make my May Goals?

Is it really worth your while to create goals and then periodically check your progress? Since I have been on the hive platform for a month now, you may wonder about my progress.

I believe it is very important to compare your actual progress to the goals that you have established. First of all, if you don’t set goals, you have nothing to strive to achieve. Second, comparing your progress along your journey helps you to know if the effort you are extending is worth the results you are getting from those efforts.

Due to this, I wanted to know if my efforts are providing any results and if I should continue doing what I am doing.

So here is my progress:

As you can see from the chart, my journey started the first part of May on the hive platform. For May my Hive Goal was to have 20 Hive Power by end of the month. As you can see, I did not make it. I only had 14.412 Not making the goal was actually good as it made me learn more about how Hive works. My hive earnings are set up to split earnings payout 50% hive and 50% HBD. I have 1.369 HBD which could be converted to hive power.

I though my progress over the past week was good. Most of the earnings were from creation of content and comments on others postings. My vote value currently is not high enough to earn any measurable amounts but I am working on that.

I blew my CTP goals out of the water. My goal was to have 100 CTP by end of the month. I earned 428.723 CTP. Per suggestions from posting on CTP Chat, I have been and will continue to power up all that I receive of both CTP and Hive. This will provide greater earning power for Posting, Engaging (comments and replies), and Curation (vote value).

Last week I added goals for POB and LEO as these were my next highest earning tokens. I wanted to optimize my earnings in these two tokens as well.

I found that creating content on each of the different communities front-ends helps with the earnings process.

I will create monthly goals for the remainder of 2021 now that I have one month to use as a baseline.
