Progress Update - Hive Curation APR 8.78%

I try to target my Hive Curation APR rate between 8% to 10%. This past week, it jumped to 8.78% APR. I was very excited to see that the rate jumped into my targeted range. It has only been there once or twice so far year to date. It is critical for the growth of my account to achieve as high of a curation APR as possible.

However I also balance this with upvoting those that comment on my post even though my comment upvote would not be enough to provide me any rewards since it would be below the Hive payout level. The second layer Hive Engine tokens still provide a reward for everyone I am hoping that as I grow my account the amount I upvote will also increase to a level that is beneficial to both the commenter and myself.

Hive Target

One of my goals for 2023 is to reach 5,000 Hive Power. It will require a lot of focus and determination to reach that level but I am up for the challenge.

I currently have 2405 Hive Power. This is an increase of 10 Hive Power for the week. My increase is only two thirds of what it was in the prior week. Part of the reason for the decrease is that I am posting my progress on Tuesday instead of Wednesday due to tomorrow being HPUD.

Moving on up in the overall Hive Power ranking from last week's ranking of 3712. I was able to move up 6 places to 3706. Since I did not earn as much this week, I did not move up the ranking very much. Only moving up 6 places is the least I have moved up since keeping track of my progress.

Hive Power is critical to have so that you are able to participate in curation and governance of the Hive Platform.

Weekly Earnings

My Author rewards only slightly decreased to 17.39 HP ($7.93) from 17.66 ($8.07) last week. Today's rewards are not yet showing because I posted later in the day so it will be added later.

My curation rewards jumped back up to where it had been two weeks ago to 3.56 HP ($1.62) from 2.8 HP ($1.28). It is good to see it back up above 3 Hive per week. I find it very interesting how it jumps around each week.

I have been receiving 0.14 HBD Interest per week over the past few weeks. HBD provides a 20% APR. I am adding a little to my HBD holdings each month in addition to the earned interest.

30 Day Earnings

During the last 30 days, I received a total of 80.52 HP ($36.71) compared to 75.26 HP ($34.38) of Author Rewards. This is a good increase in my 30 day earnings of 5 Hive. I am hoping to reach 100 HP per 30 days by mid-year.

My curation rewards slightly increased to 13.54 ($6.17) from 13.16 HP ($6.01). I need it to continue increasing as I would like it to be 15 HP per 30 days by mid-year. My interest earnings held steady at 0.61 HBD compared to the 30 days from a week ago.

Curation APR

My curation APR jumped nicely into my targeted range of 8 to 10% this week. My curation APR is 8.78% from 6.95% last week almost a two point increase.

This is nice considering that today's curation earnings has not had very much added yet. Next week should see all days above the 0.5 HP level. Most are so close that it should be possible really soon. Then I can start seeing how to get them up to the next level.

Hive Engine Tokens

There are four community tokens that I have chosen to increase in 2023. The below numbers only reflect 6 days of increases since I am posting one day early.

Alive - Increased staked Alive tokens by 100 to 17756 from 17656. The other 1,000 is a delegation for a month.

CTP - Increased staked CTP tokens by 295 to 22363 from 22068. The other 3,000 is related to a delegation I have received.

LEO - Increased staked LEO tokens by 0 to 430 from 430.

POB - Increase staked POB tokens by 20 to 2138 from 2118.

The picture of my Hive earnings would not be complete without including the received rewards from Hive Engine tokens. This week I received 7.45 ($3.40) as compared to 6.34 ($2.89) of Hive Engine tokens for Author and Curation rewards last week. Over the last 30 days, I have received 37.25 ($16.99) compared to 28.4 Hive equivalent ($12.97) of Hive Engine tokens last week. this is a very nice increase from prior reports. I hope I can maintain the received rewards at this level.
