If one believes what they see on the Doge Reddit, more and more businesses in the States are accepting Doge.

That said, I agree with you, as an investment it is a gamble. No one should invest in it. On the other hand, as a means of commerce, it could be useful. Just as sending money, I have used it many times. Fees are small and it sends nearly instantly, as opposed to some other cryptos that have both high fees and slow network confirms.

So I think with Doge, we really need to get out of the investment mindset. It is not an investment, it is a terrible investment, but that doesn't mean it's not a great alt coin.
