Hello people of HIVE,
D.Buzz has been busy working hard and, we are so close to rolling out a new Private Messaging service built on HIVE.
This will be a native system, meaning that it takes advantage of systems are in place on HIVE without having to change the underlying code, and it will be made open for public use.
How it works.
Simply, each message makes use of the memo tag in a transaction to another user.
Each message does have a cost of 0.001 Hive, however ideally you'll get that back when the person sends a message back to you. Also, you are welcome to send a larger amount you wish to catch someone's attention, or send someone rewards. Please note that we are not in charge of that 0.001 Hive cost, it is just the lowest amount that you could send on HIVE.
What is nice about using the memo tag is that you can encrypt all of your messages! This adds an extra level of safety and security to your account.
Lastly, Hive.PM is currently in Alpha state. There may be a few bugs here and there, the functionality and items such as the layout may change as we progress forward based on community feedback.
