About Dcity
Dcity is a mathematical and trading game based on non-fungible tokens available on Hive-Engine. Players build their own cities with tokens representing buildings, citizens, technologies, and earn income in the form of hive (based on ranking) and SIM token (based on city income). There are also cards that players can get only from playing the game like technologies, backgrounds and prevention cards.
Popularity Rebalancing
The popularity boost to population is too strong, and we will decrease it to make population and popularity more playable. This change should significantly reduce population from multiplier and cards with population should be more valuable.
% bonus to population now: (popularity^0.7)/100
It will require few changes to reach our target: (popularity^0.6)/100, and we will change it first to 0.68 to see how it changes gameplay. Effects of changes presented on chart below:
New Citizens
With changes in popularity, cards with population like citizens will be more important. Players will also have a chance to mine new free citizens:

Tax Refund:
A player can get a refund on taxed city SIM income through tax refund cards. This way a city can create minimal SIM income, and, thanks to tax refund, the player is still able to earn when taxes are super high. The max tax refund a city can receive is equal to the amount of taxes paid by the city.
Students will change to Scientist / Worker / Homeless / Policeman / Soldier / Eco Activist
The chance for change will be determined by time (older student = higher change for change), and University Campuses in city decreasing probability for change.
Policeman (chance to get it depends from Police Academies in city) population 1 popularity 1 tax refund 1 decrease crime rate
Eco Activist population 1 popularity -2 tax refund 1
Soldier population 1 popularity -2 tax refund 1 war shares 0.1 increase crime rate
Date & Airdrop
Popularity change will happen in one week from this post, after rewards distribution.
50k Students will be airdropped to Schools and Universities holders, 1 nft = 1 lottery ticket.
These changes should reduce number of alts, increase value of population and will secure minimal sim income in form of tax refund.
