In this post, I will be sharing and giving a rundown on how I created this business logo design for MurailWen Pillars which like the name of the logo says, it’s a business that focuses on constructions of pillars… so for me, it was all about creating a logo that fully represents what the business is all about. Creating the logo was fun as always… for the design, I focused mainly on simplicity and creativity… I talked about simplicity and creativity and why they are a great combination of a memorable business logo. This was the main driving force behind the creation of this logo as I wanted a logo that is not only effective but also achieves its primary purpose.

The Process

The ideas behind the logo is not difficult to spot when you take a closer look at the logo. As usual, the first thing I did was to do a discovery session to know more about the business, the business attributes, goals and plans of the business. This information was key and used as a guide for creating a logo design that aligns with what the business is all about. Once I received the information I needed to proceed with the logo design, I began creating a mind map to help me come up with different was to solve the logo design problem. The aim was to focus on simplicity but at the same time being creative which I had in mind during the mind map process. Once I was done with that, it was time to begin the sketching process…

The sketching process was fun as usual as it is the time to explore different ideas… I like to sketch on paper so as to give me the freedom to come up with different ideas and concepts. Once I was satisfied with the sketch, it was time to execute the design using my favorite vector design software. Once the vector design was completed, it was time to finalize the design and get it ready for presentation. The concept of the logo is a combination of the first letters of the name “MurailWen” which is “MW” and a “Pillar”. If you look closely at the logo, you will realize there are two pillars that takes the shape of MW. I am really satisfied with how the final design turned out as it fully depicts not only what the business is about but also simple and creative which was the core aim of the logo.
