The automobile industry over the last couple of years has gained a lot of accolades and attention for its continuous developments and breathtaking innovations. Automobiles are not what it used to be back in the days, now we have cars that are not only stunning looking but super advanced in terms of what it can do and its features. Some automobile manufacturers have taken it upon themselves to come up with innovations that would positively impact the automobile industry in the present and in the future. The technological advancements in the automobile industry is skyrocketing and is improving at a massive rate as the automobile industry continue to push the limits… we have gone from cars maxing at a reasonable speed to cars reaching incredible speeds… we have gone from cars that are fully controlled by the driver to cars that is fully autonomous and controlled by AI. Some car manufacturers are already pushing the limits and creating cars of the future in this present time. That is to show how advanced the automobile industry have become.

Was surfing the net and I came across one of the most stunning and advanced cars I’ve ever seen… Vision AVTR by Mercedes-Benz, according to the creators, it is a concept car that is heavily inspired by Avatar movie (a science fiction movie with a lot of futuristic cars). Looking at the Mercedes-Benz Vision AVTR, you can clearly see that it truly looks like something from the future. Yes, this car isn’t some prototype model, it is a fully functional car with jaw dropping features and capabilities. According to footages found online, the car has been tested on the road to show its full functionality. In my opinion, this car is an epitome of beauty and a true example of how far technological advancements have gone in the automobile industry.

The future is bright for the automobile industry and a lot that is still to come years from now. We have already seen crazy and stunning concept designs, but for me, the Mercedes-Benz Vision AVTR is just on a whole new level in terms of aesthetics and features. According to sources, the Vision AVTR is powered by two electric motors, each developing 476 horsepower. The car is designed to have a 33 multi-directionally movable bionic flaps which is said to be added to mimic the scales of a reptile (this is not only innovative but creative as there is a whole new experience when you come in contact with the car). While those flaps might look like aesthetics gimmicks, they actually have use – those flaps come alive when the car is in on or in motion to simulate a living creature.

Another fascinating things about this car is the the tyres… unlike the regular car tyres, the tyres of this car is not something that have been seen before… its unique design means that it can move in more advanced directions compared to the regular cars. The features of this car is mind blowing which is expected of a car of this status. There are a ton of sensors in the car which helps in the overall user experience when driving the car… The interior is the definition of luxury and futuristic… you won’t find a regular steering wheel in this car, rather a hologram and touch sensor at the center that once touched, connects with the person and activates what is known as the vision, hence the name VISION AVTR. The best way to fully understand how awesome this car is, is to do a search on youtube and have a look for yourself because writing it down wouldn’t do justice to its awesomeness.

AI isn’t something new however, it is not something we see every day as far as automobile is concerned. However, we are beginning to see AI becoming a heavy part in the automobile industry hence why a lot of cars are not becoming fully autonomous which means that the car is so smart that it can drive you from your starting point to your destination automatically without you driving. We are not seeing the roads littered with these fully autonomous vehicles because of the limitations and draw backs in this present times and we are not yet at the level in terms of developments and advancements to populate the roads with fully autonomous vehicles… however, with the way things are going in the right direction, it might not be far off into the future before we begin to see fully autonomous vehicles become a norm on the roads.
