Bottom line, we're all humans. No one of us is perfect. We all have our insecurities, our fears and our weaknesses. In order to become a successful business man, you must really know your areas of strength and your areas of weakness. There's absolutely nobody that will make a claim that he/she doesn't have weaknesses. The question is what you do about your weaknesses? And how do you take advantage of your strength?

Seems simple but rather a very complicated issue I'm discussing with you. Most times, the world likes to talk about bad things, thus in most cases you'll always hear about people's weaknesses. Only few times will you see people compliment your strength. But if you're not good at something, they'll spend all day disturbing you, and emphasizing how much of a disappointment you are at that thing.

This is what you must understand. Don't be shy of your flaws and weaknesses. Own it. When people see that you've owned your weaknesses, they have nothing to shot at anymore. Even the biggest names in the world in all fields have weaknesses. It's difficult to expect a wrestler to also be excellent at chess. The strength of a wrestler tends to be his physical energy. On the other hand, the strength of a chess master seems to be his brain and mind. Although, both parties, need a bit of strength brains and mind power to become successful in their different businesses.

There is a quote I really like by Albert Einstein, which goes like this "If you judge a fish by it's ability to climb a tree. It will spend it's life thinking that it's stupid". You may wonder, what is Einstein trying to explain to us. He is saying in direct relationship, that if you judge a person by his ability to do some things that he's probably not good at. That person might think he/she is stupid. Not realizing that he/she might be excellent in something else.

A fish can't climb a tree, but a fish can swim excellently. Whenever you notice that something is your weakness. You're naturally not just good at that thing. Don't stress yourself too much. What you must do is discover your strength. Instead of wasting so much energy trying to become excellent at that thing you're not good at. It's advisable to focus on what you're good at.

Don't be like a fish trying so hard to climb a tree. Whereas it could have used that time to be swimming, which is something that it's innately good at. As an entrepreneur, you must know this for yourself, your strengths and your weaknesses. That way you can get into businesses that align with your core area of strength. Imagine how unhappy a man who starts a business related to his weaknesses, would be. He might be already doomed for failure. The choice is all yours. But first, you must identify your area of strength and weakness.
