For millions of Americans today they are eating out at restaurants on average about 6x per week.

Many families and individuals during the lockdown turned to ordering out but there was also a shift toward more trying to cook at home. And that meant some were now spending less money on fast food and deliveries.

Since things are reopening now though the service industry however, such as bars, restaurants, and hotels etc, are seeing a boom in business.

Dining out is surging around the U.S. as more become comfortable with getting back to the old routine of having their meals out with friends and family.

Restaurants are struggling to hire enough people to keep their venues functioning optimally. And companies continue to get more aggressive with their recruiting efforts to try and sway anyone qualified to apply for open positions.

To keep up with the food demand options are growing, especially in the food truck industry.

In the U.S. right now it is estimated that there are some 26,000 mobile food service operations throughout the country, and this is a significantly larger number than the approx 8,000 operations that were around about a decade ago.

When it comes to ranking those restaurants which Americans might be happiest with it should also come as little surprise that Chick-fil-A is again ranked at the top in terms of customer satisfaction.

Behind Chick-fil-A comes popular food names like Domino's, KFC, Starbucks, Five Guys, and Panera Bread.

For customer satisfaction with restaurants that are fast-casual businesses, it is names like LongHorn Steakhouse, Olive Garden, and Texas Roadhouse that take the top position, among others.
