The worldwide chip shortage is expected to continue for some time, it might even be a year or more before the supply returns to normal. It has highlighted issues with the supply chain and the issue is grabbing international attention now.

The chip shortages threaten to act as a potential drag on the economy and could impact a wide variety of businesses.

“When the chip supply tightens, the whole economy suffers,” says G O’Donnell, a tech analyst at market-research firm Forrester.

The recent shortage is said to be driven by multiple factors, and it isn't only a reflection of demand in the market.

Since COVID-19 last year we have seen shortages in just about everything, from ketchup packets and bikes, to appliances, toilet paper, sanitizer, masks, used cars, apparently chlorine can also be added to the list as well.

Here Comes #poolmageddon

The chlorine shortage that's going on could be a problem for millions of pool owners this summer.

The demand for pools has grown around the country since last year and more people are spending time at home, that includes time in their backyards and swimming in their pools. The demand has reportedly put a strain on the current supply of chlorine and that could spell trouble this summer for pool owners.

It's also an issue for chemical suppliers as well.

The chlorine shortage has also been allegedly worsened by a fire that took place at a chemical plant that is located in Louisiana, mixed with that growing demand for pools and their use.

With all of the items we have seen face a shortage since last year it leaves one to wonder what market might be next.
