A recent survey of millionaires suggests that they see inflation as a top threat to their personal wealth and markets. The concern for inflation comes in ahead of other perceived risks such as US govt dysfunction and the ongoing Russia/Ukraine war.

The survey asked questions of those who had $1 million or more in investable assets and the results demonstrated that they are highly concerned about inflation, along with millions of other working class Americans and others around the world.

The majority of those in the survey also believe that we are going to see a recession or are already in a recession and that it might last at least one year or more. There are increasing discussions today surrounding that possibility, with a variety of experts suggesting that a recession could be possible, or that it might already be here, while other reports suggest one might be narrowly avoided and that a recession is unlikely.

There is still a bit of confidence that the FED is going to be able to control the situation, but that confidence does seem to be more widespread with dem millionaires than republicans ones.

A great deal of Americans blame Biden for inflation, or the pandemic influence to supply and demand, or the Russia/Ukraine war, it depends on who you ask. While some have said that aggressive FED action is going to help restore confidence others are critical of an overstep and worry that moving too quickly might mean turning around and reversing course sometime next year which they say would cause them to lose confidence in seeing that mistake made. Either way it is clear that inflation is on the minds of many and is considered to be one of the biggest problems facing billions around the world today.
