The TX Governor recently tweeted about the lucrative budget surplus they are expecting to see in the state.

Billions in surplus

The unprecedented surplus is said to be due to people paying more thanks to inflation, the sales tax is bringing in a good chunk of change for them. Each time purchases are made there is more money going in and now they are asking questions of what to do with that money.

Which potentially highly contested and controversial project might get some new attention?

What about giving Texans a rebate? Might that ever be on the table?

With the number of jobs they've seemed to add too it is said that the economy might be doing better there than other areas right now. Not only that but it has also become a more appealing place to live and work for people around the country too as they flee from other regions.

Some are calling for help with property taxes as a place for the money to go toward doing some good, others want to see teachers get a raise, but who knows what other ideas or suggestions for spending certain groups might come up with as more hear about the pending surplus for the state.
