If this upcoming vote in the house of reps is successful then it might mean the decriminalization of cannabis on the federal level.

The truth is that cannabis never should have been criminalized in the first place and it has a rich history of being grown by former presidents themselves. The economic advantages of reducing restrictions on this market would be tremendous.

Cannabis Market Freedom

Already in places that have allowed for cannabis markets to come about they've seen tremendous success. In the beginning stages of opening those shops many of them sold out of product and had seen such widespread support from their communities. Unfortunately, many of the decisions surrounding cannabis market activity is still left up to a handful of people and it is nowhere near a true free market for cannabis.

The Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement Act, if it is successful then it would essentially decriminalize cannabis by removing it from the Controlled Substances Act.

Some states have already decriminalized cannabis to an extent but they haven't gone far enough yet. Growing, selling, using cannabis etc, should be considered a natural right and one that cannot be infringed upon by the government, telling you that you have no right to grow or consume this product.

vote coming next month

They will be voting on this change next month and it will be groundbreaking if passed and there is a federal move to decriminalize and finally remove this plant from the CSA which it never should have been placed on.

There are strings, such as a 5 percent sales tax on cannabis if passed. They also have plans to use it to move forward with further efforts to expunge cannabis-related convictions as well. The time for cannabis freedom is always right now, as cannabis growers, sellers, and users, are not threats to their communities and they aren't criminals.
