Businesses around the U.S. are having a hard time finding people to take positions right now. It isn't just in the food industry either, though they are one market area that is looking to hire many. That worker shortage has caused some businesses now to close up because they cannot find enough people to work to keep the business running.

People are still asking themselves why there is such a problem right now with a shortage of workers. Industry experts note that it is multiple factors contributing to the problem and not just one easy answer. People don't want to work those conditions, work for low pay, commute long distances for work etc, among other reasons. One thing is clear and that is there are many job vacancies but whether or not those are good jobs is another question.

Minimum wage workers cannot afford to rent anywhere in the country as rent is now unaffordable all over the nation. There are some people who might want to take those jobs that are vacant but not if they cannot pay the bills with them.

Companies all over the country are now hiring for positions in different industries. But for some small businesses that continue to struggle to fill positions it could mean having to close their doors a part of the time or altogether if they can't make the business run with a smaller team. That could mean that we lose even more small businesses now after the months-long closure that they recently endured last year.
