The picture above is taken less than half an hour ago. Meaning on a cozy, silent and almost sunny Saturday morning in Lisbon. It's on my way to the coffee shop I work from during weekends, in a part of Lisbon called Alfama. I live very close by, so I'm technically my neighborhood.

I walk very often on that area and never saw that ad on the wall, so I presume it was added just a few days ago. I took the picture with the intent of learning more about it.

As I arrived at my coffeeshop, I started to google the lower right corner URLs. The "traditional" one, containing "www" came right away and it turns out it belongs to an artist called Abel Grade. The second one was a bit tricky. In the ad it's "opensea.abelgrade", which won't give any results, obviously, but if you go to OpenSea and type "https://opensea.io/AbelGrade", you find the account of the same artist.

So, it's not about NFTs "by" Ethereum. It's about NFTs by Abel Grade, published on OpenSea, an Ethereum-based NFT marketplace. Phew.

Anyway, where am I going with this?

I'm going nowhere, because I'm already there. In the future, I mean.

There's something incredibly exciting about seeing a specific tech becoming mainstream, becoming part of your daily life. One day you eat at a small restaurant in Alfama, and the next day you see a small art gallery displaying NFTs of that neighborhood.

Grateful to be alive in times like this.

P.S. I don't know the artist, but I like his work, have a look, you might even want to buy some stuff from him.
