I admire Netflix for its pioneering work. That company did for streaming what HBO had done for cable television.

All that aside, Netflix recently gives impression that its leadership haven't adapted well to present economic circumstances. I think that the major mistake was going too far with original content and simply creating too much shows. Some of them were difficult to properly follow, some of them were plainly bad and some lacked Netflix's confidence, resulting in cancellation of many shows that would have survived on different networks/services. With competition heating up and other streaming services taking streaming rights for most popular or attractive content (Marvel films and Star Wars on Disney +; Harry Potter and DC Extended Universe on HBO Max), things don't look good for Netflix.
