Leothreads: my thought on microblogging

It is no more news the leothreads is coming soon and this feature comes with one thing in mind which is microblogging. The interesting part about all this is that the Leo team having planning this for over 18 months the main purpose is to bring web2.0 into web 3.0 without mistake and especially on hive where the major setbacks over a year as always been creating new accounts.

When I join this community 4years ago I have to wait for a week before my account was created and over the years we have seen much improvement concerning that now you get can your account in less than 20min but another problem for newbies is engagement. As a newbie you won’t you won’t be able to do much on hive because of your hive power and the more hive power the more resources credit you get.

Most newbies run out of resources credit all the time and they have to wait for days before it refills but a solution is already coming with the next hardfork which gives each member ability to delegate the resources credit by doing this the newbies will have much more resources credit at their disposal with the help of existing members.

But do we maintain values?

Value is very important on hive and that’s where the power comes from but with microblogging that might change a little because some people might want to take advantage of this to promote less work, even though the information I gather says auto upvote won’t be allowed I still believe there’s much work to done convening that because how can we face the issue over rewarded threads.

I won’t suggest down vote because even though you are trying to downvote for good reasons some people still take it personally and will turn it into a downvoting war. I don’t know if there is a way the system can do it to have a limited amount of earnings per thread but do I know?

Conclusion

I know the Leo team has been working on this for over 18months now and all these would have been part of their plans and maintaining values would have been one of them. Kal is one of the smartest people I know. With resources credit solutions coming soon and so many signup options for the Leo thread and integrated with the mobile app I believe this will be a success and a game changer for hive
