The Richest Man in babylon- Book Review

The book "Richest man in babylon" is written by George s. Clason. The book aim to reveal the babylonian ancient secrets to wealth recorded 400 years ago. The author believe those secrets were what made babylon a home of wealthiest men.
The author started by describing the lands and position of babylon as a country where there is no resources available or near reach for business or as their source of income but her citizen have grown above their circumstance to draw wealth from afar. The author discussed a certain man who was fed up with living on average and decided to enquire from the only wealthy man at then what the secret of his wealth was, this wealthy man taught him the secret of saving 10% from every of his income, then living on 90% to settle other needs. This 10% was to be accumulated until it's enough to buy something he could trade on. Whatever he makes from the trade was to be invested back into the business until he has enough to start a different trade opening other streams of income. What he was to note was: Never to eat up his capital but instead invest in it until it could birth him more money. Secondly, to invest first, then eat from what is left and open other streams of income from the returns he gain in the venture he had started. In his book, he told a story of a man who failed to use an opportunity to buy some sheep at night time only to realised it had a rise in price the next morning. There's no goddess for good luck, there's only a well taking opportunity the author believe. Finally in his book, he distinguish slave and freeman as the product of their thought. A man is a slave only if he narrow his thinking pattern and a freeman can be a slave if he is entangled by his thought of mediocrity.
