Surviving on My Hive Payouts
Ever since the government withheld my salary because doctors went on strike, I have been surviving on my Payouts.
Last week I made $27 and the week before that I took a graphic design job. The job has been eating into my engagement time so I have been commenting less these days. I am making the finishing touches of the job so soon I will be back to commenting in the morning before work.
I hope they start paying us again, my goal for this year is $2,000 then I can start looking into buying a new laptop for say $200.
How am I surviving?
I have been making a low-budget jellof rice. If you don't know jellof rice...the best way I can describe it is that it is tomato paste rice.
I basically fry all the ingredients and throwing in the fried sauce into the boiling white rice.
I use sardine <$1
pepper >$0.1
salt
seasoning
Onions
Oil
Tomato paste
The last four ingredients all cost a little above $1. So everything is about $2 and it doesn't take time. the only time it takes is when I have to prepare the rice and when I have to fry the ingredients.
Yesterday's mash-up was nice and I want to continue with this when I get my salary. The food lasts me for more than 4 days. I even shared it with my neighbors.
Before I'd spend over $2 a day on rice then I still have to worry about the rest of the day's food.
Anyway, I'm off for work out now!! Catch up later!!
