With everything going on in the world we can know with absolute certainty that explosive change is right around the corner. No one contests this "fact". The Great Reset and New Normal are coming, whether we like it or not.

With these changes will come a complete revamp of the system as we know it. Those in power would seek to control this demolition and rebuild it in their image: with them in absolute control. Something tells me all is not going according to plan.

We know things are a bit off when retail just decides to team up against Goliath hedge funds and squeeze their ridiculous shorts. Add to that this idea that 2021 is a mega-bubble year for crypto, and things might start getting very crazy.

At the core, crypto is all about governance. Bitcoin has the least rules and the best security, making it the anchor of this ship. Every maximalist will tell you: inflation bad, small blocks good. It's a simple government. Too simple to be an actual government. Therefore it becomes clear that Bitcoin is simply the auxiliary shield that helps the rest of the space flourish.

That's why DPOS is so valuable. DPOS bridges the gap between crypto and republic governance. Everyone tries to rip on DPOS for being ridiculous. How can one vouch for a government when the weight of one's vote is directly correlated to how much money they have? Surely, that is a flawed system!

Trust me, DPOS voting is superior to one person, one vote. We already tried that. It's called "democracy", and it is a bad joke. All "democracies" and republics simply devolve into those with money being in charge anyway. Except they are sneaky about it. Those with resources use those surpluses to manipulate public opinion and grease the wheel of government to get what they want via lobbyists, commercials, backdoor bribes, and whatever else.

With DPOS, things are much more clear: You don't have to deal with any of the deception because the rabble are poor and don't get a vote that the elite can manipulate for a profit. Rather it is the money itself that votes. Ideally, it sounds like a trash system, but trust me, it's way way better than what we have today.

How many people think there was fraud in the last election? Do you notice how no one is talking about improving election security? They're just saying STFU you idiot conspiracy theorist... Even if fraud did not occur, why wouldn't we increase security anyway? Probably because that concept has zero value to the people running the show.

In the case of DPOS, election fraud is much more difficult with zero overhead cost added to that increased security. What are you going to do? Hijack the network? Jack up the price, make everyone rich, and then get forked out justifiably? Yes please! The next time Hive gets hit by a money attack, we all get rich and we probably won't even lose our name/brand if we play it well. Centralized powerhouses can no longer jump into these systems risk-free. The risk is extremely high for those who want to exploit the system.

Hard times are coming!

And what do hard times bring with them? Extremists. Zealots. Or as the Biden administration will call them: Domestic Terrorists. Already they are trying to pull this bullshit with Wallstreetbets. Nobody's buying it, jackasses. Nazis didn't squeeze your shorts, stop crying, billionaires.

Communist Anarchism & Fascist Socialism

At least 3 of 4 out of these words are extremely triggering to most people. Anarchism sometimes gets a free pass, but even then rarely. Not Many have come to realize this truth yet: that crypto allows us to implement governments that were previously completely impossible to deploy at scale, defending their brand blindly and with unmatched fervor (looking at you, XRP army). The times are changing.

Those who lean right on Hive (and there are a great many) tend to typecast these words in the darkest of lights. The implication is that no form of communism or socialism could ever be legit or beneficial to the people. This is patently false, and many of these same people actively support socialism just by being here at the ground floor.

At its core, socialism is simply the people being in charge of themselves. It's an extension of democracy. However, we see that real-world implementations have thus far been trash, and so many will blindly reject anything with the "socialist" label.

For example, raising the minimum wage is socialist. Socialism exists where free-market capitalism fails. It is basically a band-aid that attempts to correct a problem in the free market. Social security is also socialist. Hell, it's even in the name.

The problem with band-aids?

Eventually the wound is supposed to heal and you should be able to take the damn thing off. Instead, what we have is an unsustainable debt-based system full of socialist regulation quick-fixes that never heal or go away. Even income tax was supposed to be a temporary measure at one point... didn't that work out swell.

At the core of anarchism is opt-in governance and the automation of authority. No one should be in charge; our ideals should be in charge and the governed should implicitly consent to the rulesets given. Everyone who supports crypto supports anarchism whether they know it or not. This is the exact point of crypto: to automate out the middle man and decentralize money/power.

Never before has Anarchism been possible to scale until crypto came along. We now have the systems and tools to build out governments that govern themselves rather than putting someone in charge.

In the future all forms of government will be a subset of anarchism. The middle men politicians will be removed and everything will be built from the bottom up rather than top-down.

Communism is a adaptation of anarchism where lots of rules are created to try to put everyone on more equal footing. The real-world implementations have been abysmal, and much more closely resemble authoritarianism, again with a small elite in charge of a big pyramid that isn't scaling well, just like all the other real-world implementations of government.

My voting habits are largely communist. I'm here to build out my network, not reward quality content (for the most part). You might see me upvote every comment on my blog for an equal amount, even if some of the comments are trash and some are really good: I don't care. You all get an upvote for participation.

You might see me upvote every blog post in my feed blindly: again, communist. I don't care about content. I'm here to build and make connections and establish rapport.

CULT

Again, hard times are coming, and hard times breed extreme circumstances that are then met by extreme measures. If I have my way, I fully intend to lean into this future. I even have an idea for a fun little open-source cult blueprint.

What is a cult? A religion that isn't established. Once you get tax-exempt status you become a religion. Those are the rules, just ask David Blaine.

Where am I going with this?

Governance is on the verge of being decentralized, which means we are going to see some pretty strange communities popping up. If you thought diehard sports fans were bad... just wait until crypto goes mainstream and all these assets have diehard cult members at scale.

At the heart of every cult: zealots.

Zealots serve a "higher power". This is where fascism kicks in. Fascism is no longer reserved for the authoritarian right, as we see that the Anti-Fascists are really just left-wing Fascists, looking to control the actions and even thoughts of those around them or risk punishment from their wrath in the form of cancel culture, celebrated rioting, and whatever else.

So why do Fascists get a bad rap?

A zealot serves a higher power, and if that higher power is corrupt, the zealots themselves are inevitably corrupt, while able to justify any horrific action in the name of the "greater good".

A zealot will turn on friends, family, or anyone else to serve the higher power. It's easy to see how children would rat their parents out to the Nazis. The children were fascists, serving the corrupt higher power at all costs. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

I pledge allegiance, to the flag...

Therefore, it becomes clear that if fascism is to succeed, the higher power (crypto network / governance structure) must be pure beyond reproach, and righteous rather than self-righteous. Shine the glorious light, my children. Darkness does not need to be battled, as the wicked cannibalize themselves when exposed.

And what of socialism?

In Hard Fork 24, @blocktrades implemented the delay for governance voting. It is now impossible for users to power up a bunch of stake and hijack our network immediately. Now we would have much more warning in the case of said doomsday scenario, giving us time to rally against the enemy.

This change to consensus was socialist in nature. The economic incentive changes were also socialist. The dev fund is socialist. Rewarding block producers is socialist. Allowing stake holders to manipulate inflation is socialist. Everyone on Hive supports socialism whether they are willing to admit it or not. On crypto networks, socialism and anarchism bleed together and are often impossible to separate.

Communism & Anarchism

Using tokens on Hive, we can create almost any kind of governance structure under the sun, throw it at the wall, and see if it sticks. The dinosaurs trying to control the New World got nothing on crypto. They think they have everything under control, but tides can shift quickly in an atmosphere like this.

Conclusion

______ isn't bad, the real world implementations of ______ are bad.

  • Communism
  • Socialism
  • Capitalism
  • Republic
  • Anarchism
  • Fascism
  • Free-market

Again, everything around us seems to be imploding back to anarchism so we can build back our systems from ground-zero. Crypto is creating thousands of opt-in borderless networks that compete with each other in the most healthy way possible. Users will choose the networks that suit them, rather than having said government dumped on them by force. This is the definition of anarchism: to be given the right to choose from a wide array of systems that are controlled by ideals and strict rulesets themselves, rather than easily corruptible humans.

Yeah, it's not going to be sunshine and rainbows.

Wildfires allow new life to spring forth,
but we must survive the flame first.
