Now a lot of people are speculating on this announcement of an announcement. That's the ultimate form of meta speculation right there, folks. What will this crypto genius come up with next?

Will he say one thing and do another? Will he buy out another company that doesn't fit into the Tron business model but hammer that square peg into the round hole anyway? Will he make more false promises? Perhaps a combination of all would be best.

Many are pointing to the idea that Tron is getting into DeFi and copying MakerDAO's collateral contracts to produce stable coins. Truly, that's probably the smartest thing he could possibly do at this point.

If I'm being honest, I was pretty damn excited about his BitTorrent acquisition ($140M). I was fully ready to jump on the Tron train and start uploading files in exchange for a micro-transaction income stream. Yeah well, where is it?

That was TWO YEARS AGO.

Plain & simple, he doesn't know what he is doing when it comes to cooperative collaboration. He's a good businessman and he knows how to build relationships and generate hype. For every person that hates him, he makes sure to create a zealot that will follow him blindly. Kudos to him for being so charismatic even in the face of such dipshittery.

What's my take on this "announcement"?

The one thing that no one seems to talk about is his list of platforms that will benefit. More importantly is the list of platforms that he doesn't mention. You know, his most recent acquisition costing him $8M? Steemit Incorporated.

So weird not to mention it. Don't be surprised if Steem doesn't benefit from whatever he is trying to pull, but actually hurts it... as in this could be his play to assimilate Steem into his little corporate Borg network.

Conclusion

My bet is still on the DeFi thing, but it's weird that he doesn't mention Steem. Even if it has nothing to do with Steem, shouldn't he list it if only to attempt dumping more of the ninjamine on his "unsuspecting" victims? Very strange omission under any circumstances, then again I bet he's salty as fuck due to how it all went down. Have fun with the Bittrex lawsuit, dipshit.

Edit: Snap I wasn't the only one
