First step in tech support is always to link your wallet so people can actually see what happened.

Also no one should ever use a hot-wallet in a browser or phone unless it accounts for a small portion of your holdings.

Holding crypto on Metamask installed on Chrome on a Windows machine is a very bad idea. This is easy avoided by spending $50 on a Trezor or Ledger hardware wallet and connecting it to Matamask.
