Hello everyone!

I will be covering the best takeaways from the book I'm reading with the CTP Mastermind Group.

To know more about the book, you can click on the image above and it will redirect to its main website, or just follow me for the next few posts!

Now that you have your bricks (the sweet spot) and cement (the content tilt), it's time to do the work in building a foundation. Part 4 is about the base. Starting a well stablished base and take the time to build it properly, will save you time, effort, money and will give results long-term.

Chapter 8 TakeAway - Do one thing...great!

In a perfect world and if you had the "hands of an octopus", you would be as visible as possible in a variety of platforms with all types of content.

However, being a Jack of all Trades will always end in a Master of None, you will get overwhelmed and start to neglect everything and going nowhere.

Chose one target audience, as narrow as possible, one content mission and type and one platform.

Focus just on these and be consistent. Once sucessful, you may diversify to other platforms.

Don't be tempted to launch into many platforms at once. The key is to stay focused and refine your expertise in one platform before diversifying. Page 99

Chapter 9 TakeAway - Trial and Error

Even if you have choosen a platform you like and the type of content to start, you may or may not know if it will be the one giving the results you were expecting. If you end up realising that it isn't the one for you, it's ok, lesson learned, move on to the next. There are many pros and cros for each to consider. Just pick one you resinate the most at the moment and start, work and focus, only then you will find your place and voice.

Chapter 10 TakeAway - Analyze your Analytics

Tracking everything you do is the best way to see if you really are...well...on track!

Look at your analytics every week. Find out what people are most interested in and how they are locating your content. It may make sense to create more content around what's most important to your audience. Page 116

Chapter 11 TakeAway - Plan for Consistency

Setting up a content calendar, keeping it filled and focused and working ahead are the best tools for you to keep consistency! It may take some time to get everything ready but once you get on the rhythm, your future self will thank you!

Think of consistenty as rhythm, the rhythm of a heartbeat. It never stops, and it pretty much stays at the same pace. Sometimes it gets a little quicker, sometimes a bit slower, but it always beats. Page 121

Chapter 12 TakeAway - Content help through repurposing

Content repurposing requires alterig a piece of content to make it fresh by changing the angle or switching up the format. Integrating repurposing into your strategy can lower costs, advance production, expand audience reach and provide myriad additional benefits. Page 139

When you are at that stage of providing content through a variety of platforms and content types, repurposing might be your best ally! A video can turn into a podcast episode, it's transcript can turn into a blog post or even an email, and so on.

My thoughts so far

Phew, this part was a big one! But a good base/foundation is so important to move forward in this journey, or even in any journey!

My idea at start and what I would say to others was to be as visible as possible so you can be always on top of mind of people. But I learned from experience that having a variety of platforms can be overwhelming, especially now with a offline job and in process of moving.

So I've been more focused here on Hive.
Posting on Hive can also provide you the analytics you need to improve yourself and your content creation through upvotes and engagement. Can also see from the rewards you are getting, but the engagement, the people that comment on your posts, you will know for sure that they read your content and have an opinion/feedback about it. And that also will hel which direction you should go next.

It's been a while but repurposing helped me a lot in the past. I would turn my posts into emails for my autoresponder or content for my program. Some posts I even turned into a Ebook for my members! You just need to adapt to the platform and you might have content for the week in different places!

That's about it for today!
