Positive Impact of 1st Leo Power Up Day (LPUD)
Hello, Layer 0 of LeoFinance,
As y'all know the first Leo Power Up Day (LPUD) was held on the 15th of June, 2022, and it became a huge success since 4.2% from total liquid Leo held into staking as Leo Power (LP), 320 lions actively participated in the event, and 174,089 Leo tokens were turned into LP. All that occurred in a time span of 24 hours, what a committed response from the community.
What bigger can be than that, obviously 2nd LPUD should be bigger than that, and every Lion is preparing for it already. Take the example of Mr. @peckypeace who has already managed to hold 60 Leo tokens in advance for July LPUD and planning on to add more Leo soon, similarly, @iskafan is also committed to next LPUD, see her response in a post with a positive note below.
I call these members as Gems of the LeoFinance community, these people are selfless and focus on the empowerment of the Leo community.
Let's talk about how LPUD positively impacts LeoFinance Community. LPUD is one of the initiatives from @LeoGrowth project, the project's main focus is to empower and strengthen the Leo community and this growth of the community positively impacts the Leo ecosystem.
1- With the advent of LPUD, many Hive members flocked to the LeoFinance frontend and started to write about their experiences on various aspects of money or anything about finance.
2- Lions participated more actively on the LeoFinance frontend and committed to keeping their participation alive in upcoming LeoGrowth events.
3- Local engagement grew and users started to publish more content and heavily commented on their favorite posts.
4- Traffic flow increased and users were posting optimized content and also spread their posts on various social media platforms.
5- Users who have powered up Leo tokens are now actively participating in curating content published on LeoFinance. This way LPUD has not only empowered publishers with more 'Author Rewards' but also developed a new batch of curators who are also receiving more curation rewards than ever.
For example, as I was receiving almost 0 Leo from posts I had upvoted 100%, but after 7 days from 1st LPUD, I have started receiving curation rewards as well, what an amazing change to my Leo portfolio.

6- Community added 4.2% of total liquid Leo into staking as LP, which is indeed a modest number of Leo tokens turned into Leo Power, which helped Leo ecosystem a boost to generate more tokens, more profits, and more rewards, and all this goes back to the community.
As you see how LPUD has positively impacted the LeoFinance community for a successful future of members. This impact is not a short-term one, but it has paved a strong base for long-term community growth.
As I have given an example of two gems who wish to commit to more engagement and participation, this is what our LeoFinance community needs to thrive for long-term success.
